Thanks. This task sounds daunting, but with the pictures, it looks pretty straight forward, can't believe dealers are charging close to $1000 for this.

Unhappy my x-5s' butt is sagging ... again.

Several months ago I had issues with the high end turbo on my 2011 X-5 335-D. I had that replaced and went on a road trip to Fla. that went well until we hit thee worst rain I've ever seen. we get home drivers side rear air bag went. I replaced it rather inexpensively. Well, shortly after that the pump for the leveling system went and we had a mechanic replace that. So, now one year later, the back had started to sag once the weather got colder. Now the new pump is not working. Could it be the unseasonably cold ( mid single digits as of late) weather has something to do with it?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I replaced my air springs with regular springs and the car works great. I do have a question.....Is there anyway to disable the level control failure warning? 2010 X5

Did this last night, fairly simple install, and I am not a skilled mechanic by any stretch.

One thing I would point out is that the control for the pump is at the front of the vehicle. I spent more time getting the rear underbody panel off (and realizing it was an unnecessary step) than doing the rest of the install on both sides. Perhaps that is more common knowledge, but in my searching I didn't see that mentioned so I figured it might help someone else out down the line.

This morning the car seems to be doing fine, despite the cool temps.

Another thing that failed on my x5m that was replaced under warranty. I noticed one side sitting super high
