I'm eager to hear as well!
M5James, I saw your posts on the YouTube channel and his replies. I'm eager to hear if he will do the full rebuild/upgrade for these turbos including compressor, turbine, thrust, with wastegate rebuild. I'm sure pure does a great job, but knowing that a physical person is doing this and knowing exactly what is being done is a huge confidence builder...price might come in here also, labor, CNC, rebuild kits, custom wheels...I wonder what the bottom line is compared to pure.

What's the SDL vs DSL signify? Nevertheless I'm still curious how the $2k option is working out vs the $5k option...that's a big price difference for how much difference in HP?

The address he lists is just some random place, looks as though its somebodies house. I do not know if I would hold my breath on this one.
There has to be other folks who offer Garret turbo work.

Yes, it's a couple guys running it from their house/shop, sometimes he even does information videos from his bedroom...but watch the videos where he's using all the machines they have and it's clear he knows what he's doing.

Have you tried calling them directly? It may be something these guys do on the side, and possibly that is why they are hard to reach. If it were me, I would refrain from getting involved with them if they prove difficult to communicate with, communication is key with any 'project', so when that component is difficult, may be a good idea to go another route.

Turbo labs turn out good stuff. Anyone modifying/ building turbo cars have likely heard of them or used their products.
They are hard to get in touch with but, they’re busy making money. It seems they get roped into specific models and then kill it from there. Tim’s turbos is another great turbo shop. They can modify your turbos. I run a set on my 335d. I picked up 100whp with their hybrid option with no loss in driveability. http://www.timsturbos.com |
