E70/E71 Volume Knob broken?!

Hi,

Do you ever broke your knob volume on radio of your E70/E71?

We can still push to On/Off de radio, but cannot Up/Down the volume... it turns in a vacuum..

Any idea if you can replace only the button or we must replace the full radio... ?!

(For the moment, we can Up/Down the volume by the steering wheel).

Thanks a lot !

Yup. Replaced mine. You have to be careful reconnecting the one cable as it MUST be placed in same orientation or damage can occur to your head unit. But it's easy just mimic the orientation when you replace.

That's the part

Yep, be very careful you don't reverse the connector (it's not really keyed at all) or bend/break a pin.

it's not hard, but you do have a bit of removal. when you planning on doing it?
I can do a quick video if it's not too soon. I will be going in again to put in a profile control knob for stereo so it's not a big deal.

LastLong and thehungrymonkey....Could you share the video of the audio face plate replacement? The volume button on my 2013 X5 E70 no longer works. I bought the replacement via the link on this post. I am unable to find a good video online of how to replace. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
