I'm eager to see your drop and if it's too noticeable I might wait until after my next inspection.
The drop isn't noticeable at all. I forgot to measure the front and rear fender height before the install but I'm sure someone on here can add that information.

First impressions: the Dinan spring setup is what the X5M should be like from the factory. Gone is the floaty feel and noticeable body roll even on the gentlest of corners. The comfort level is anything but harsh and not too far off the stock rebound setup. All in all, it's a minor tweak that isn't in your face and solely is for the improvement of overall handling characteristics.
I have not experienced any issues with the rear suspension like some mentioned with the H&R setup, and I made it a point to drive over various types of bumps/unevenness at different speeds. No complaints for me, but do not expect an aggressive drop of any sort.

More time behind the wheel will tell, but my installer suggested I get the alignment done after driving the car around for a bit to allow the new front springs to settle.

EDIT: the following statement is corrected in a subsequent post.

Note to those considering this: the bump stops in the ride handling kit come as a set of 4, all are identical. The rear airbag configuration with EDC renders two of the bump stops useless since the only adjustment to the rears is the adjustable Dinan links. I can sell the two I have for half off to avoid paying the full retail cost.

After (above) and before (below) photos posted.

Side profile with Dinan springs. Clearance to highest point on fender flares is 31.25" on all corners, resulting in a 1" drop compared to stock.

It's noticeable and looks good. The car should've came from the factory like that. If the front springs were to settle-in and drop further, would the self-leveling rear automatically drop to match the front?

Looks good, may settle a little lower. I look at the stock ride height sometimes and think "monster truck." Lol.

So the bump stops didn't fit or work with the rear dampers? On real oem the bump stops are listed as "additional shock absorbers" and the front and rear have different part numbers and look a little different.

Yes it would since there are leveling sensors in the rear. The rear Dinan link lengths are also adjustable unlike the fixed OEM. I maintained the Dinan factory length setting.

Monster truck indeed. The Dinan bump stops come in a package of 4 that are all the same. The airbag setup in the rear didn't require them according to my installer and may be for non-EDC cars with rear springs.

I think your installer was being lazy. The X5M is only rear air ride, but regardless of whether or not you have coil springs or air springs you have a separated damper in the rear. In the front you have a combined spring/strut but in the rear it's a spring by itself and then a damper(strut) by itself. On both the front and the rear the bump stop prevents complete compression of the damper(aka strut). The DINAN kit has front coil springs and rear links to adjust the air spring height. It's easy to install the front bump stops when installing the spring because it all comes apart, but the rear you only need a 10mm wrench to install the links. To install the rear bump stops you have to take apart the whole trunk/storage area to unbolt the dampers, unbolt from the lower control arm underneath, pull them out from the bottom, and install the new bump stops. The installer probably didn't want to go through the hassle and called it a day.

Here is the rear Damper with the bump stop highlighted:

That would make sense and thanks for the info. No wonder the experienced folks recommend going with a coilover setup since it requires the same amount of labor for a more customizable experience. Good to know!

Thanks for all the info and updates on the Dinan spring set up!

I wonder if the bump stops in the kit are borrowed from another model? I believe for the E90 M3 Dinan uses E36 M3 bump stops.

OP, could you check for any part numbers on your uninstalled Dinan bump stops?

Thanks! Sorry to keep asking questions, are there any part numbers on the stops themselves?

Your truck is looking sexy! You gonna pick up the X6M hood? or Euro Vorsteiner hood?

Thanks! As tempting as the X6M hood is, it's not something that is on my radar. These cars should have been equipped with the power dome from the start!

For the tips that I got, there are rivets on the carbon fiber bodies that end up touching the adjacent tip when installed. It still however wasn't difficult to mount. Without rivets there should be around 3 mm clearance between adjacent 4" tips. After getting them installed, I couldn't be happier with the look... the tips are now better proportioned with the huge back end!
Doctor, the beast looks wonderful. Would you mind sharing the list of mods performed on your car and the cost involved, where do you brought those spacers and grill? Are there any affect of spacers in the performance and does that affect any suspension component from warranty perspective

Took exactly a week for the diffuser to arrive. Not bad for international snail mail! The box is all styrofoam and packaged very well.

Thanks! Spacers and springs don't affect any suspension components from a warranty standpoint. You'll however need an alignment after the mods. Spacers are all for aesthetic and I won't take a car on the track with them... for daily driving it's fine. I got all my gear from ECS. Just keep in mind that for the X5M the front and rear have different bores which you'll need to spec for the spacer in addition to the width you're looking to extend.

Did you get an alignment at the dealer or a regular shop? My dealer noted that an alignment will be $250 since the car has active steer.

Costs vary depending on your preferred vendor. Mods are documented on this thread.

Typical dealer talk and markup. You can get it done anywhere, just ensure it's for all 4 wheels. Dinan has an alignment sheet for their springs.

I purchased the diffuser from cnautofans and they are made to order. It took about a week to manufacture and I requested a 2x2 weave instead of the 1x1 they advertise so that it matches the finish of the OEM front lip. They did so at no additional cost and sent me photos before they shipped off at my request. Not bad for overseas service!

Here are some detailed pics of the diffuser. The core is fiberglass (not what I initially thought) and the outside finish is decent, but there are some quirks that you see up close compared to an OEM product. The fit is spot on and requires adhesive and bolts for the underside.

Will take before and afters when I get to the install.
