Is there a Digital Cluster for E70?

Do they make a digital cluster for the E70? I was just in the new X5 and thought it would be cool if I could replace the old cluster with a modern looking one. Thanks!

I was hoping this was Bimmertech OEM 6WB Cluster worked with the E70.

I don't care much for the all-digital , too much lag and looks cheap, I know it's unfortunately the future as it cuts so much cost out of having real gauges.

The 6WA is really nice hybrid of digital and analog. I would think we should be able to code these to the E70. Alot cheaper too at under 400

Wow...my thoughts exactly (yes, I know this is totally subjective). When I see the new all digital clusters in the G series BMWs...I think of the 1980s and sigh with disinterest. Then if you read the G forums that have this new digital cluster...you start hearing the complaints that I knew would be an issue..."wash-out" in certain light conditions.

And I agree totally with your 2nd paragraph...the 6WA cluster is a great combination of digital & analog...and the 6WB cluster (which most seem to love) would not be something I'd order for the same reason as the new G series digital cluster. In fact, I find the digital needles on the 2 smaller gauges for fuel and oil temp...kind of difficult to read at a quick glance because they are so short and its hard to tell which end is the center (or fulcrum) of the gauge vs the tip of the gauge. In the 6WA cluster...the gauge needles are tip and fulcrum are easily distinguishable...and if the sun is shining on the cluster...you still have the analog portions to tell what's going on.

But if you like all the fancy colors and different displays between Eco-Pro, Comfort, and the Sport modes...then the all digital clusters are probably right up your alley.

{note how short the 6WB gauge needles are in the smaller gauges on the far left & right}

{the 6WA cluster...even when washed in sunlight...still has things that are visible due to them physically being on the surface of the cluster...and the gauge needles are clearly understandable}

They just got back to me. The Bimmertech OEM 6WB Cluster is not compatible with the E70.

Yes there is a digital cluster for e70

Installed mine successfully today. 99% plug and play, simpler than on the video:
. Toughest part was finding a way to disconnect the battery :-)

I cant believe some people actually like these digital clusters. I have a 2012 x5 and a 2021 x6m, and I absolutely loathe the digital cluster, huge bloated idrive screen and Christmas tree accent lighting. I love the simple, clear gauges in the e70, and soft orange backlight that is easy on the eyes at night. The essence of a proper BMW.

Agree, the BMW digital cluster looks super cheap to me. I drove a 2020 3-series for a few days last yr & never did warm up to it.

My ‘15 F-150’s digital dash was 10x nicer than what BMW has now, IMO anyways. Love Audi’s digi layout in their current cars too.

Agreed. BMW has lost their way, big time. It's pretty tacky.
