Height of car when parked

Hi,

In the last year, my E70 frequently goes several centimeters down when parked (not always) and regains height once opened with the key, with a clear sound.

This is very visible because there are not more than a couple of centimeters left between the wheel and the arch.

The car is now 250k KM

Anybody has a clue why this happens now / is it normal?

Thanks for the answers

I just had the same thing on my M and replaced both rear air springs. No issue since.

It could be that your rear air springs are leaking and may need replacing. The sound is the air pump inflating them on startup. Try to get these looked at because the constant inflating could damage the pump and cost you more in repairs.

Replace the air springs....Recommend the Arnott’s from Rock Auto....Your compressor as noted is being overused until you get this sorted.
