CEL Code 3EED

Hey all,

I have a low mileage, 50k, E70 diesel. A few weeks ago I picked up the vehicle from Hansel BMW in Santa Rosa after having the SCR active tank replaced, due to multiple codes that focused on the in tank heater. Thanks to the extended emissions warranty it was covered.

Saturday, before the early Sunday am evacuation due to the Glass fire, the vehicle threw a new CEL. The code is 3EED and despite extensive searching I have been unable to determine what the code specifically refers to so that I can plan on addressing and fixing.

Yesterday, I called the local and highly recommended indy shop to request bringing it in for a diagnosis. I was told that the 3EED code refers to a problem with the DEF system and was told to bring it back to the dealership. Since I never bring a vehicle into the dealership without knowing for sure what the issue is I am asking if there is anyone on the forum who can help me by letting me know specifically what this code indicates.

Thanking in advance whomever responds!
