Wheel compatibility questions (Center Bores)

Hey Guys,

Trying to fit a set of wheels off an X5...5.0 to 2012 X5M

Found a set of wheels but the center bores are off a little bit. The wheels in question style 215 are 21x10 and 21x11.5 with a CB of 74.1 all around.

What I have read here from the archives, X5M front CB is 74.0 and rears 72.5 not exactly what the wheels are?

So what are my options here, spacers or boring the wheels out or looking for another set?

I personally don't like to use the spacers/adapters for various reasons.

Thanks

No problems with 1.5 mm spacers adapter here. Im using f85 wheels in my e70M.
There’s nothing to bore out because you’re putting on a bigger bore wheel to a smaller bore hub. Again, no vibration issues. Don’t lose too much sleep over it.

The stock front 20x10 and style 215 ...21x10 have same OS 40, so they be just fine in fact, could still use a bit of spacer to push them out, right?

The rears stock 20x11 with 35 OS and style 215 ...21x11.5 with 38 OS probably could still need some spacers, right?

Does that sound OK to you all?

sounds ok, I see no issues
u can put 15mm & 25mm spacers on to push the wheels out little bit also as I mentioned u should use adapter/spacer on the back for the center bore diameter change, above configuration is what I've been using for years with no issues. One more thing I would recommend to use H&R brand for the spacers!

Good luck!

With 10"/40 OS front and 11.5"/35 mm OS rear, is 15 and 25 respectively the optimum combo and is 25 mm not too much of a spacer?

Unnecessary bit of info but I did the polar opposite. I put x6 wheels on my x5. I got x5m wheel spacers for the rear had a friend of mine mill them out from 72 to 74 and worked. If you're that worried you could probably find a hub ring. Or go to a machine shop and see if they'll make you one.
