Kick to open liftgate. Just figured out our vehicle has this feature. Too cool!

Once again, having the power I want/need on tap. This morning I was approaching the big bridge over the river. Usually I use the left lane of the ramp, because I can easily merge (when it's finally safe -- the drivers here think the highway is a real-life version of Grand Theft Auto) straight onto the bridge.

However, this morning two 18-wheelers were churning their way up in the left lane of the ramp. I didn't want to be caught behind or between them. Sure, they speed up as they go, but driving behind big trucks can get your paint chipped. So I flicked the turn signal and put my foot down as I soared up the right lane. Passed them without effort, moved safely back into the left lane well ahead of them, and merged without fuss into the main span.

The gold car looks like your basic upper-middle-class commuter vehicle . . . but it has a small starship engine under the hood.

The acceleration is perfect. I have compared with various cars and only the benz can match its speed. I just love my BMW and Benz. Speed is ultimate.

I have to drive approx. 12 miles at highway speeds (I hope! -- as long as there's no crash blocking the Interstate) to get my hair cut tomorrow. A good chance to use Sport after a week of Comfort and EcoPro.

EcoPro really reminds me of the acceleration and power of my late 2011 Regal. Normally aspirated, it had only 180 hp. If you wanted to go fast, you had to really be firm with that pedal, and/or downshift the manumatic transmission. Once you were at 40 mph, say, zooming to 70 was no problem. It was getting to 40 that often seemed leaden.

The 328i has no such problem.

I've had my 2016 535xi for almost 3 years. What I love is how quiet the car is along with the secure road feel.

Lots of cars have okay immediate acceleration. It is more problematic, with many cars, passing on a highway when one is going 70 or 75 mph with the traffic and needs to get ahead of someone before the road changes. That is where I have found that my BMW especially shone. Not only is the passing acceleration more than adequate, but the car feels like it is going sixty when doing that--smooth, quiet and quick.

This is one very small thing I dislike about the 328i. The back seat is so smooth, and the lower part so contoured, that when I sit on the edge of the seat to put the rear sunshade up, I slide down into the seat! I have to put a knee against the upper part of the seat to hold myself in place. I have the back window tinted fairly dark, and I try to park where I will have shade for a good part of the day, but the shade is important.

I guess I'll get used to bracing myself while I unfold the shade.

Unfortunately my 328i doesn't have that. Well, it's good exercise, and I'm sure anybody I carry in my car will love the rear seats, so it's not a serious issue.

Threading my way quickly yet safely through afternoon commute traffic. The 328i may look like a grocery-getter -- but it's very athletic when given a chance to show what it can do!

Every time I'm stopped or arrive at a traffic light, it puts other cars/drivers in race mode!!!

I love the simple wrist watch-like appearance of the instrument panel in my '18 F48. It's mechanical but is all black when turned off.

I like the sound of the doors closing and making that satisfying "thud"

I appreciated the ability to leave off auto start/stop without having to set it every time I start my car.

I applaud BMW's ability to produced a subcompact luxury SUV that outperforms, out handles a Toyota RAV4 and Honda CRV for the same price and makes it look better inside and out.

The same Aisin 8 speed automatic makes better use of BMW's 2.0 liter turbo engine than when it's paired with the Japanese engine.

I love the red or white glow from the dash and door panels.

I love the perfect fit and finish and black paint that looks like a mirror even before sealing or polishing it.

I love the double latch so you don't have to feel around for the elusive locking spring when opening the hood.

Damn straight. Probably the smoothest acceleration of any brand I owned.

Since you are asking, I love every little one of the 575 hp and 500 ft pound of torque available in my car. Could not enjoy life without!

This is a good one....no matter where you are in the wiper sequence (as if it’s raining and your wipers are on) they always return back to the bottom and don’t stop in the middle of the windshield once you shut your car off

28.4 mpg over the last week with 65% city driving. Amazing for a car with 245 hp.
