i'll do

Thank you very much
Run the engine again, same noise or louder when you open the oil cap? Mine does this as well, I replaced my gas cap seal and it went away for alittle but but came back. I'm lost also, runs well but every once in a while going up hill or going over 150mph it check engines on me saying it's the intake manifold

Where do you live that you’re able to drive 150mph?
I could barely go 10 over the speed limit without seeing a police cruiser sitting at the end of the block.

Every X5 V8 I've looked at sounds like that. I was surprised at the amount of injector and what appeared to be valvetrain noise, but nothing has been wrong with any of them.

I noticed the same "popping" sound when removing the oil cap while running so that's not abnormal either it seems.

Yup, have the same noise on my X5M when I got it but the previous owner have had it inspected by San Diego BMW multiple times and they gave it an Ok, same as the BMW independent shop I had inspect it before purchase. Over a year of ownership and 10K miles later, going strong with no CEL or engine issues whatsoever.

If you can find service close to you, who have this type of tool, your doubts will be solved. This is Austrian company i think.

Anyone with an S63(maybe N63) use Ista,
Engine electronic ->
Injector adjustments
Go through “without “ changing the rate value
End
Now it will ask you if you want to do “injector equalization
Yes
This process will take about 5-10min or so at a high idle
Once done turn off engine and back on again.
The engine will sound like a Toyota camry, so smooth and quiet.
