Why do so many E70 get spun bearings (rod knock)?

I am in the market for an E70 X5. Did research and I don’t want the problematic V8, I don’t want the diesel due to potential fire issues so I figured the 35i would be the perfect engine however upon doing research I found many of them have spun bearings for some reason.

Seems that the N55 is fairly reliable however for some reason many X5 seem to get a spun bearing on cylinder 2.

I am wondering if I get an 2013 X5 with the updated oil pump if the issue will still persist.

I searched this forum but it doesn’t seem anyone got a spun bearing on an E70 X5.
