BMW ConnectedDrive/Online/Assist HELP??
Just got my X5 2009 with only 12k miles on it at a steal and it is loaded with optional extras, I am having difficulty with the BMW Online part of it though, I am repeatedly seeing the error message 'Installed SIM Card not available'
I am not sure what to do in this situation, is there a removable SIM card slot that I'm unaware of? I have connected my phone through BlueTooth and it has still come up with the Error Message (Also tried on a Galaxy Note II) I have also tried to initialise BMW Assist but that comes up with the error message 'This Service is not available for your car. Please contact your BMW Dealer. Services could not be installed.' I'm also unsure as to what ConnectedDrive is, to my awareness it is just the term used for both BMW Assist and BMW Online if I am Correct? So to sum up I just need some advice as to how to set up my BMW Online services. The error message 'Installed SIM Card not available' is appearing and I have my iPhone 5S connected to the car Via BlueTooth (It is not in the cradle however) and I would like to find out how to get access onto BMW Online And find out how to get onto BMW Assist and what the heck BMW ConnectedDrive is Sorry if the images are a bit disproportioned, the image size was too big. Thanks in Advance |

So all I have to do is get BMW Assist UK to activate all of my features? Also are there any additional charges? Is it a subscription or is it completely free? |

Thanks guys for the help, gave BMW a call earlier today and found out that my BMW ConnectedDrive services had to be renewed. £120 in the UK, seems slightly pointless in my mind as you have to pay for the option and then after your complimentary service is over you must pay annually. Oh well, I suppose this is BMW's way of going all "Porsche" on us.

Is this like your experience you have to pay extra? They don't tell you that on BMW.CO.UK or on the Apple App Store |
