Due to the overhype, ER is typically allocated these days.

Congrats on another bottle of Proper, glad you’re enjoying it.

I tried fat-washing some Four Roses Yellow Label with brown butter. I need to work on it some more, as it only had a faint note of the butter.

Right before Christmas I got the gift set (fifth of Jameson and shots of their IPA and Stout versions) for $12 a set. I bought 3 of them and I don't even drink Jameson often.

It seems pretty location based, it is pretty easy and common to find around me. Same with Buffalo Trace.

I can't ever find some that I do want like Weller, Mightnight Summer Dram, Yellow dot, etc. anywhere around me (I've looked a lot of places) so it's a give and take. I would take some of those nicer ones in place of the eagle rare, even though it is a good budget sipper.

Thanks to the Pappy hype, Weller is a tough get everywhere, it seems.

Midwinter Night's Dram is good, really good. I've never seen it "in the wild", I did buy a bottle off the secondary market. Not sorry I did, but probably not something I'd do all the time, either at $100-125/bottle.

My old liquor store in SC had Yellow Dot pretty regularly. Seems that the Irish stuff flies a bit under the radar in the south.

Tried the Plantation XO 20 year last night. That's a damn fine rum, super smooth and very nice taste. Will definitely have to make sure to keep a bottle on hand.

Hey! I finally found some yellow spot. It was on the ghetto side of town, there was a store with great pricing and unreal selection. Picked up another abundah, an aberlour 16, glenfiddich XX, and a peaty taster of Lagavulin 16, Talisker 10 and Cragganmore 12. It was a good day.

Someone gave me a half gallon as a gift. Have yet to try it. But have heard it is quite tasty. It is hugely popular here in TX.

Yeah, the ER and Tomatin are what I give guests that really don't care what they are drinking. The Yellow Spot lived up to the hype you guys were throwing around. I am definitely going to have to add it to the replacement list (when it gets close to gone)

It's alright. I like to buy American stuff when I can. Relatively cheap, goes down pretty smooth too.

I enjoy vodka occasionally. Especially with cranberry and lime.

I can in fact highly recommend an amazing Vodka if you want incredibly smooth even straight: ZYR

I know you have taken a keen liking to sipping Rums.

Keep an eye out for these 2 that I also keep on hand. I know you will enjoy them:

Either are very tasty and smooth! The bottle is gorgeous too.
