To confirm - you're running the stock tune and castless downpipes when testing, right?

The tune will code out the O2 permanently showing as "not ready"...so you need to test the stock tune with the downpipes.

I could be Captain Obvious, but wanted to check.

Passed with catless DP

I just passed emissions with catless DP and tune (post cat O2 disabled). VA allows cars manufactured 2000 onwards to have one monitor as Not Ready and still pass, unless a visual inspection is performed.

Each state is different. Some (including WI), require all to be ready.

Testing on a tuned DME. My tune does not modify the Cat or O2 sensors (I had the tuner leave those alone).

Hey everyone, just wanted to jump in as I just went through this and thought this would help everyone. 2013 N55 - VRSF catless - BMS - MHD stage 2. I live in CA and need to have all my sensors working. Since I was catless, I had all the sensors, less the CAT sensor showing complete.

I installed the OEM DP and flashed to stage 1 and checked "OEM Catted DP" option. Drove through about 2 gas tanks over a few weeks and I couldn't get the o2 sensors to turn on. I reached out to the forums / MHD and they advised I flash back to stock and remove the tune. (long flash).

Performed the Long flash and removed the MHD tune. Drove through 1 tank and all sensors turned on besides o2. Once I filled up my second tank, I drove to the store and randomly checked the readiness. o2 turned on! Immediately went to SMOG and passed with flying colors.

Note : I tried to perform the "drive cycle's", but in SD, its very difficult with lights and traffic. I even tried during the middle of the night and it was very difficult.

Removing the DP and installing is a Pain. Not sure I'm going to put it back on and will just see how I like driving the car with stage 1, catted. I know some have passed with a DP, I'm not one of them and couldn't get it to work. Hope this helps someone.

Yea I'm trying to get this to work with the catless system. Let's see what happens with the v3 modules.

Just an update.. I still have no codes but the catalyst and o2 will not ready.

I have been working with the simulator vendor and they are sending me their new revision of the simulator to try out, should be here next Monday.

Will report back once I test through this new one.

End up installing these yet? Interested to see whether the newer version makes any difference and gets the system into a ready state.

Have you tripled checked that the tune isn't tuning out the sensors? I know my tune does even though I don't have downpipes.

Yep, I'm currently running the stock map now, no tune.

Same answer to your question from Jan 30th, my tune (when the DME was tuned) does not have the cat sensors off (it doesn't modify it).

Just wanted to add my own update to this thread. Went and ended up passing emissions today - still tuned w/ downpipes. Looked into it more and my state allows one monitor to be unready.

Everything was functioning as it should with the exception of the "Catalyst" being in an unready state. Really glad I didn't have to pull the downpipes and flash back to stock. Just wanted to provide this info for anyone in a state that allows one monitor to be in an unready state.

About to pull the trigger on the area 7-4 modules. Any updates? Also wondering if the updated modules are across the board updated or do I have to request/specify something to the vendor?

Hey sorry I haven't updated this. I'm still testing it out with developers.

As soon as it works, I'll update this thread. 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Very nice, yea unfortunately my state requires ALL monitors to be ready.

Alright guys, just an update. So my state inspection is now past due and I cannot devote more time to testing out new revisions so I will have to suspend this effort for now.

For the time being I've purchased active autoworke catted downpipes from a member here, those should be in tomorrow and hopefully I can get those installed this week (I gotta lava wrap them and that comes Thursday lol).

My catless downpipes will be going up for sale soon.
