Pers785 2013 Space Grey X5M
It's been almost a year since I've owned my X5M, so I suppose it's time to finally start my page.
Ordered her from a Michigan BMW dealership and had her shipped to Texas, as it had the exact color scheme with all the options I was looking for (LED headlights, comfort package, and even heated seats/steering wheel - which doesn't get much use in Texas weather). As soon as I got her (09/2016), I had to put on tint, given the Texas heat. A couple months later, I replaced the front reflectors with IND painted matched All was quiet for about 6 months, until I finally decided to gamble with an ebay carbon fiber Vorsteiner replica lip. Took about a week to arrive, and I am actually pleasantly surprised with fitment. I also ordered a set of Forgestar F14 in bronze burst, and waiting for them to be made/delivered (6 week process). After they arrive, she'll be getting a drop on H&R springs Last edited by pers785; 08-08-2017 at 08:43 AM.. |

Congrats and nice color as well on the M. What drop ratio will you be utilizing for this beauty?

Thanks! I'll be keeping the wheels at 20 inches and I've been on the fence of a 1.2 vs 2 inch drop but I think I'm leaning towards the 2 inch. Hopefully the larger sidewall tires on the 20s (vs 22s) will allow the ride to be a little more forgiving given the drop.

I'm on the west side of town. Currently living just off 151/1604 but building a house in Potranco Ranch. Not sure if you've got the Carly App but if not we could always meet and use mine to do some coding. I've been floating the river the past couple weekends in your neck of the woods.

Looks Awesome! Congrats!
I would stay away from the H&R lowering springs. i have the 1.2R/1.5F drop and the ride is stupid harsh. i can't wait to catch a set of KWV3s maybe the dinan lowering springs are better with there bump stops but otherwise i don't know why my H&R lowing springs are so harsh. I Love Forgestar F14s can imagine what deep concave F14s in 20 or 21 will look like on the E70 X5M DAMN I'm Drooling already I might do the same next big sale lol when i return to Texas i will be in the DFW So i will hit you both up next spring!

I do not have the Carly App. Does it let you do what others have been mentioning that Okee does from Codemycar? Quote:
Dang man, I keep getting mixed reviews about the H&R springs. Some say as you do, while others have positive reviews. Did you adjust the rear links? Some had luck with that. It worries me...mainly because I'm contemplating going for the 2 inch drop..... |
