My wife has hers in now-2013 E70 35i,for oi change and look over before warranty runs out in June,They are doing brakes, oil and said the driveshaft was recalled as well, that all covered but the alignment was not.
For some reason they don't recommend rotating tires.

This BMW with 28k miles on it has had more work done then my GX with 75K miles !.

All under warranty and free so what's the difference!

Alignment is usually a flat fee everywhere, something like $100-150

Yes,very pleased she got it all done, especially under warranty-they also did the 30k fluid change, under warranty as well. The alignment was $145-the only thing we have been charged for so far.

My concern is what happens after the warranty runs out in June. The extended ones I have checked-Endurance and BMW are well over $4k.I went with the 35i instead of the V8 or Diesel to be more reliable.

Ha! I received my "Official" Half-Shaft notice today and since I just took the X5M in for oil service yesterday,...I will see if they inspected the half-shaft and their notation on the service order, as I was in and out too quick fro them to have replaced it.

I received my recall notice yesterday too. But my letter states the parts are unavailable and they will send another letter when they become available. Guess Im in a holding pattern for the airbag on my M3 and driveshaft for the X5.

My letter says that as well, however they replaced it last week when my wife was in for a oil change(and brakes, fluids) and kept it over the next day to do the shaft and brakes.
Either the letter is wrong or they just swapped a new "old" one for a older old one in her X5 !

This is from the work order-apparently same part numbers as old ones, maybe they purged the supply line of the faulty ones and are filling it with newer ones

Installed 26 11 7 529 387 Torx Screw Qty 4
Installed 26 20 8 605 866 Drive Shaft Qty 1

I just called the dealer to schedule my alignment on my E70. Turns out my 2013 35d is on the recall list for the driveshaft also. She said they have the partsninnstock, and they are doing everything for me on Monday when I drop it off. They are providing a loaner and everything, so I can't complain.

I got the generic "no remedy available from my SA". Have been getting the same party line when asking about the airbag so I feel like I need to find a new SA.

Pretty lame because I've been working with the same guy since 2012.

Got my driveshaft letter in the mail yesterday. Time to get this thing replaced along with (hopefully) the airbag as well.

They knew about the driveshaft problems for a long time, disappointing that they don't have a supply of replacements ready for the recall.

My dealer told me they're getting 10 units/week and once they're gone they reschedule people for the next week. I had mine done last week, no big deal.

I see someone asked about the airbags. I called BMW NA about that a month ago. They were actually really helpful and explained their priorities, which certainly made sense. They also told me that Missouri was considered group 2 and that airbags are now being scheduled for that group, and they went so far to say that mine was going to be in the September group and I'll get a letter when it's my turn.
