if you look carefully on the middle of the front bumper, they are mounted on the bottom of it just above the lower grill on the sides a couple feet apart from each other. its a pretty clean install.

racer m,

It looks great. I really like the little touches (ie painted reflectors and rear diffuser).

I will be ordering mine soon. I currently use the Laser Intercepter and V1. But am thinking about the Passport 9500ci. Would you post some pictures of the front, rear and interior install. Trying to figure out the best price to put the control unit so it is easy to get to but not in the way.

thanks

awesome car! congrats! did u plan to change the exhaust?
there are already 2 better cars than nissan gtr: ferrari 458 italia and the new 911 turbo (although they have a double price than gtr) ... with ceramic brakes equipped i don t think u'll find a better car in terms of braking and performances, in general...

OK guys we finally got the X5M on the dyno today and messed around with some tuning, keep in mind this is just the beginning of the potential that can be unlocked with this motor. So far, with some basic tuning we were able to achieve a 47awhp gain over stock on 91 octane = roughly 80bhp which would put the power close to 630bhp!

We are going to build a cat-less turbo back exhaust next, and with some more tuning we should be able to get near the 700bhp range! That would be serious power with mostly stock components. I will post more dyno results when the exhaust is finished.

The GTR has already been tested with against the 997 turbo with PDK and the GTR beat it. When the looked at the data from the test, the GTR entered and exited every corner with much higher speed that the Porsche, however the Porsche was able to make up a lot of time down the straightaway due to its better power to weight ratio. This clearly shows that the GTR is a far superior handling car, and if it were to have the same power/weight ratio it would have beat the Porsche by much more. Since the Porsche costs almost 2X the GTR, if you stuck half that money into the GTR you can easily have a 900bhp, racing suspension, carbon fiber'd out Godzilla that would run under 7 min at the Nurburgring and be able to beat a Porsche RSR. I know its very hard for all the Porsche owners (myself being a former owner) and their egos to accept this, but it is what it is. There is no match for the GTR at this time, and there is a ceramic brake upgrade for it also.

Here's a video of the test:

I haven't taken any in a while, but the car still looks the same as it did in the others. Gonna get some wheels soon and put some carbon fiber accents (hood, diffuser) on. Will post pics then!

Not sure if I'm gonna go with HREs anymore, I have another company that is offering a killer deal on some sick concave mesh design wheels (kinda like a BBS wheel). They look killer on the M3 and SL65 I have seen and think they should look really nice on the X5M. I attached a pic.

Nice ride... I picked up mine yesterday from Steve Thomas BMW in Camarillo. They gave me some serious $$$$ off the sticker price. I have black sapphire with piano black and black full leather. I didn't think I would like the way the white looked, but it looks GREAT! I'm up in Santa Barbara... we'll have to get together for a drive one of these days.
How is the room in the Godzilla? I'm 6'7" would I fit???

6'7" might be a little big for Godzilla, but if you are an NBA player you might be able to have Nissan build you a custom sized one like Shaq did for his Ferrari

@ Racer M

Dude how did you smoke the rear lights? Is it something you did yourself or did you have it done professionally?

Wanna do the same to mine cause they look awesome.

Cheers

Angry X5M

Hi, I am due to receive my x5m in the next few weeks. I had it custom ordered, so I wanted to see what you guys thought about the color combo/options... any recommendations would be great...

Exterior: Monaco Blue
Interior: Syra Blue leather individual ( its an almost Black Blue) , with all the extended leather
Carbon Leather Trim
Rims: 300 M , these are the Rims of the x6m Any thoughts? I didnt like the standard 299's...
Ticked every option, except dont have the active seats as the indivdual leather is non perforated and doesnt come with seat ventilation, and thats the only way to get active seats

Does anyone have any pictures of a Monaco blue X5m with 300M rims on it??

Also does anyone know of a reputable tunner that offers a nice sports or racing exhaust for the X5M
like Tubi, hamman, hartge, supersprint?
Any suggestions?
