2012 HID bulb replacement
I received an error about the right headlight, and see that the headlight is out.
I need to replace it, and a casual search shows this to be a D1S? These are adaptive headlights as well. (2012 X5) Is that the correct size? I was leaning towards the D1S: OSRAM XENARC 66144 NIGHT BREAKER LASER from TRS. Or the D1S: PHILIPS 85415 XV2 XTREME VISION Both under 5000k. Thoughts? Oh a side note, I have LED reverse lights too. It flickers upon startup for about 5 seconds then stops. It works perfectly in reverse otherwise, just starting the car it flickers for a few seconds and stops. Cheap bulb? Or do I need some sort of coding done?

Oh and this seems to be 1/2 the cost for the same thing?

With Amazon, you have to be careful that you are getting the real thing, not fakes...
I run the 66140 CBI bulbs, that are 5500k, and like the light. Only downside is in blowing heavy snow, they are bright coming back at you as well. On the led reverse lights, its probably just an led fluke, my LUX angel eyes do that as well, just a fast flicker when going on or off. |

I would lean toward Osram for the headlights.
Flickering leds on start up might be the cold check. Download Protool or go to a bmw shops and you can have the cold check coded out |
