Are these just OEM discs with additional machine work and painted hats?

Yes. Outer edge of the disc is painted too. These things are frigging heavy. Probably 30-35lbs each.

Only the fronts have arrived so far. Still working on the rears.

As previously mentioned, finally a picture of my VIGA DESIGN caliper covers in Lambo Blue. I have them on the front and back which gives a nice even look! I have another set on my M3 in red but may change the color too since this pops nicely

Any other pics or full pics of the vehicle? Is that the back caliper cover?

I am glad you got them in a somewhat timely manner, mine were the opposite I got the rears then about 6weeks later the fronts came.

Its a shame girodisc doesn't have a BMW application. Their rotors can remove up 10lbs per rotor.

Thanks - yeah - he does nice work. Too bad its takes so damn long. Can't wait for the rear rotors, pads and stainless lines to get here and get everything mounted up - should be early next week sometime.

If you are considering, don't wait until you need them to order them. It will be about 12 weeks by the time everything gets here.

My brakes are fairly new but will consider when the time comes, but my only scare is will it fit OEM 20's? as i have to run it in the winter

It is an OEM rotor, so yes - without question

My set of calipers and rotors are installed on my 35d Braking is definitely better. There is more swept area on the rotor, and the pads are larger than the non M X5
