2013 E71 X6M - Not Going Anywhere!
Try as I might to dream-up reasons to move-on, decided she is a keeper.
I know I have a rare beast, that consumes little oil even now on 10,000km changes….and looks like new with the 10.25 Screen update. It’s a year round vehicle driven in all conditions, including very severe winters. I have had my beast since she was just under two years old. No tunes or other upgrades. Anyone else who owns an E71 X6M finding it hard to move on - or have any other thoughts? Happy New Year one and All. Last edited by Bilbofraggins; 01-10-2022 at 11:05 AM.. |

My loss is another member's gain though. @Too_Hu///Mble picked up mine after lease return. He was modding the hell out of it.

Guys remember, this was the OG Power Crossover that inspired:
~ Tesla Model X (Near-copycat shape) ~ Mercedes-Benz GLE63S (Near-copycat shape) ~ Jaguar F-Pace ~ Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Coupe' (Near-copycat shape) ~ Maserati Levante ~ Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifiglio It's still relevant in 2022 and everybody asks me if it is brand new:

Very nice! Please tell me more about the screen update. that's fantastic!
I too am in love with my X6M (2013). It has a Dinan exhaust setup too. Had it out to the track and it was awesome lugging around all 5000lbs! |

Realize this is an old post, but I happened to see this while researching something and just wanted to add my agreement. I’ve had my 2014 X6M for almost 8 years now. Got it when at just about 1 year old and about 5000 miles, when even bone stock it was still an apex predator on the roads. Now of course it’s been eclipsed by quite a few others, but I think it’s got all the power I could need. I likewise think about replacing it every now and then, but only because interior creature comforts have leapfrogged it by quite a bit. But it still moves as fast as almost anything else in its category, and with only 62000 miles I think it’s conceivable I could run it until the wheels come off. Great car!

Still working on the replacement motor. Documenting at this forum page
https://www.xbimmers.com/forums/show....php?t=1884260 I really wanted to get the replacement motor 100% complete, then start on the x6....removing the dead motor.

Spent a few hours on the new motor today. Got the intake manifolds on, plugs, coils, injectors, rails, HPFPs, etc. Started on the electrical (spaghetti) wires. Not bad in all honestly. All wires are at length and basically only go one way (common sense with some ingenuity and luck).
Now stuck with what to do with the PCV system of shitty plastic hoses and snot fed to the intake. I really wanna vent them to the exhaust pipe , via Sophisticated Redneck discussion on a header/ crankcase evacuation system from maybe Moroso. Need his opinion and experience on it. Then can cap the intake manis
