Agreed

It doesn't need brakes (so X5M big brake kit is out), but I've already started thinking about upgrading it with a few other mods.... At first, I thought about doing a full-on Msport kit and 22" wheels, but I'll more than likely try to keep it simple by adding 20" style 214 wheels, black grills, some legal tint, possibly a tune and be done with it.

Here's a preview of it's first day with us;

What it will look like with 214's and fender flares...

and what it could look like with the full Msport kit.

Full M Sport is the way to go! The combo of the diesel with the M Sport kit would be TOP.

I'm going to do the exact same thing on my Harley F150 and both X's, but I'll be taking it a step further on my X5M after seeing this...

I think that green works much better on the type of cars you posted vs. an X5M. The yellow already stands out quite a bit (vs. red, silver, the OEM blue on the new X5M...). I think the yellow will work great with the Space Gray, and won't look too over the top considering your other mods.

Just my .02.

True, but I may be going with coilovers and getting different wheels at some point.
I am considering a similar stance that M3guy is currently running.
The fewer amount of coin I throw at the 35d, means the more I will have to allocate to the X5M

hahaha.

I have also been dealing with a full schedule and haven't found much time to accomplish anything with either vehicle in the past few weeks. We like the X5D for a daily and are trying to decide on new wheels for it. I will also be putting the Brembo BBK on mine once I find some free time.

Wheel buying is difficult. There are many options and pricing is all over the place. I have contemplated stepping up to something that I would really like as an alternate set for the X5M, so I can swap between the two vehicles if I get bored and want to change up the look.... can't really do that with OEM style non-M wheels (like the 214s), Those just wouldn't look right on the M.

Glad you're enjoying both X5's I'm about to pull the trigger on the same BBS SV's you have but I ordered the center caps in red n gold instead for a little contrast. I may sell my 299's with non rft's if you wanna throw them on the D

Oh man! The BBS SVs will look awesome on your truck! You are going to love them. I actually have another set of 299s lying around... but those look a little out of place on the X5D.

I will be installing the new Stage II+ software that was provided to me by Active yesterday via email. Active is promising even more midrange torque with their newest tune. I will let you know what my experiences are with the new tune once I have had a chance to test it.

Nice! I'm running a stage 2+ as well. It's from Velos. It's a beast of a tune. Based on my gauge its an avg increase of around 7 psi throughout the whole rpm range. M5 levels basically. Seeing upwards of 22 psi now.

The stage 2+ from AA is insane...I would love to go head to head with someone with the Velos stage 2+ to see who comes out on top

Me too!
All I have to compare to is my buddy's stock X5M.

Based on an app I run, my stock PSI is 17.4, so a 7PSI increase would be nice.

Thank you, Sir!
I like what I have accomplished with the X5M and I feel that it has been tastefully improved.
Maybe there will be different set of wheels in the future, but for now, I'm very happy with it.
