Hello,

College from my company after I show him on my E90 ACC, he wants to retrofit on his X6 E71 ACC + STOP GO. In the thread i have found that he needs to change the JBE module, the FRM module, abs pump and he needs the Eye(radar for the ACC) and SZL and LDM module. What will be the price for the parts and can you suggest me what type of ABS pump I need to search for him, because I found one and its a little too much 34516854706. My price for the E90 kit included with wheel speed sensors was 400$.
Can you suggest me part number that I cant find in realoem for the retrofit for the RADAR with ACC STOP GO. The vehicle is X6 E71 3.5D

Can anyone confirm if FRR-01 will work for this retrofit?

finally retrofitted all the ECUs/Wiring/Coding was done. ACC is not working without throwing errors, but I need to redo the bleeding of the brakes as after DSC replacement and a couple bleeds, the brake pedal still feels soft.
Also, the Radar seems to be pointing to the left as the car symbol shows up when I am moving slightly rightwards in the lane..
or if there is a car in the left lane ahead of me.

Anyone have tips or is the best thing to go get it calibrated?

addy27 I think when I was looking at this, that final part of calibration is something that needs to be done at a shop that has ADAS tools. Places like windscreen replacement shops usually have the tech to do this, or perhaps a specialist BMW shop. I have ADAS on my Autel but I think most of it needs external kit to be able to work.

So I have the SA544 and would really like to retrofit/upgrade to the S5DFA Active with stop and go. I assume I'll need the radar, some wiring, and coding, but time to dig into the thread.

I will have to go through all the posts and learn the lingo, though so far, how have the upgrades/retrofits gone? Anyone do this SA544 to S5DFA switch?

Still not done mine. - Had to take apart part of the engine to fix some things so that has sucked a load of time for now.

addy27 did you get yours working?

Hey, I'm also new here out of South Florida. I have a 09 35d I'm looking to retrofit from a parts 50i. I have the dsc, ldm, szl, and acc units. Are you still creating plug and play harnesses dumitru.o? Thanks!

Coding ACC

I finally installed the new ACC DSC unit. With the E70 X5d, do yourself a favor and rotate the upper intake pipe to the other side of the oil cap. You can pull the DSC out there while holding the hydraulic pipes aside. Also, drain the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir or it will completely drain when you remove the pipes from the DSC unit. I did not pull out the entire DSC bracket- just removed the two bolts on the bottom of the bracket that secure the DSC unit to the bracket. I tried vacuum bleeding, but I'm not a fan. It draws too much air through the caliper vents and you can't gauge the amount of air in the line. I wound up having a friend pump the pedal while I manned the caliper vent, then activated the abs pump bleed function a couple times at each wheel. The brakes feel great. I don't think the last shop did a very good job, but the old fluid was clear.

ACC is great. Very happy with it.

My active steering project is progressing. The only errors left are from the EMF (parking brake). It complains about the DSC interface after I code $217 for AFS. I've read the EMF can be finicky and there is a workshop mode. I will have to play around some more. Anybody have any hints?

Also, does anyone know if the ACC radar must be calibrated for best performance, or does it only need calibration if it complains?

A big thank you to everybody in this thread for your tips and hints!
I am new here, (tried to PM you but cannot) I live in the SF bay and have the identical vehicle as you have ('12 X5 35d I will be doing the ACC retrofit, Still waiting on senor. Is it powwible you help me out with coding/programming after I have it complete ? I canof course compensate you for this.

Unfortunately I just recently made an account and can't use PM's for another 5-6 days. What else can I do to contact you?
