Looks sleeker. Time for some springs and spacers.
Spacers will be here today... springs are on the short list...
Great. What sizes did you get. I got 12/20mm but I'm changing the fronts from 12-15mm after I installed the new Dunlop's.
I got 25/15... I think that should put them where I want em!

Got the rears put on, these are 25mm H&R spacers. The fronts needed longer bolts and I didn't know it. I got them ordered, so in the meantime, it's pretty staggered, haha...

Ordered the H&R 2" kit with the m5 bump stops for all 4 sides. 2" kit because I plan to run the stock wheels for awhile longer, so going that low on these will look right. Hopefully will tie everything together exterior wise.

Having an x pipe welded in the exhaust tomorrow! I'll post some pics and vid of how the exhaust sounds with the x pipe. Supposedly will help equalize the exhaust pulses and eliminate some of the raspiness and drone of the straight pipes. Said to sound more "exotic", but not sure how it will sound with the turbos. Fun week!

Sounds good. Hopefully the ride won't be as bad as everyone says it is on the 2" drop. Please give us a review.

That would be awesome but won't work. Front and rear have different hub sizes. Just a heads up before he spends his money...

Adapters are meant to make your wheels fit, not your spacers.

An adapter between the hub and the wheel is a stretch safety-wise...an adapter between the hub and the spacer, and then the wheel on top? No thanks...

u missing the point! there is no difference between spacer and adapter!
the adapter will serve the same purpose as spacer plus if its a spacer/adapter it will let you modify the hub size so you can run regular wheel on smaller hub size.

The adapters start wilt 25mm up as you will need to bolt on adapter to the hub and then screw u bolts/studs in to the adapter!

Right, but that's a whole different point and part altogether. Him fitting the wheels was never the issue. He already has the "regular" rear spacers, I was just making the point that they won't fit in the front, that's all.

The E70 X5 M has a 74.1 hub size in the front and a 72.5 hub size in the rear. He would have to buy both if he want's to run the 15mm/25mm setup. He can't just buy the rears and throw the ones he already has on the front. That's all I was saying. Ask me how I know...

Had the X-pipe put in line. Here are my thoughts:

It really changed the exhaust note... in an amazing way! The raspiness of the exhaust is gone and it sounds more like a 350Z car at lower RPMs, kind of a resonated sound, but sounds like a super car when you get on the gas. The turbo spool is just as prominent, but the note is more exotic and refined. The car sounds differently at idle as well. I'm finally happy with the way the X5M sounds! I don't know how to explain it other than it sounds quieter and less obnoxious, but so much better.

Nothing to report on power, can't tell if it made a difference or not, I just know the sound put a smile on my face.

Highly suggest this and I have no idea why this doesn't come this way stock like it does on the S63tu.

Friday the lowering springs and bump stops go on... for today, I was able to get the front spacers on finally... also got the key cover from IND. I left the key hole/assembly under the cover in case the battery dies. Mine wouldn't clean up and I stared at it when I got in the car every time.

Finally got it lowered with the 2" H&R springs... I love the look without the roof rails. Someday I'll do some pro pics. Anyone want to swap factory tinted windows to clears? I want clear glass.
