Towing with the 35i
Hello, I have a 2011 35i, and I'm looking to tow with it. Its going to be around 5000-5500lbs or so. Looks like the max towing capacity is 6000lbs. Has anyone towed this much? Any tips or tricks? Also any recommendations for kits to install the trailer hitch kit? Thank you!

OEM Hitch Kit is decently priced, I think I bought mine for $400 which included the wiring harness. I would highly suggest getting a brake controller if you plan on towing that much weight. We tow a 2-horse trailer fairly frequently. Empty/dry weight of trailer is 2,200-2,500 lbs. Add in one horse ~ 1,500lbs. Tow is completely fine at that total weight. Barely feel like you are towing anything. But once you add in another horse and push above 5,000 you can definitely feel the weight of needing a brake controller.
