New X5 M owner
Hello All,
I just recently purchased an X5 M for my wife from a wonderful family who has owned it since new. We have been really happy with a purchase and look forward to making new memories for a lifetime. The vehicle is 2011 and had about 92k miles at the time of purchase. The vehicle just had extensive mechanical work and just wanted to share it with you all. Future plans: Replace roundhouse brakes all the way around and replace crankshaft bearings as preventive maintenance with in the next year. Replaced the rear differential, it was leaking between two halves and no way to reseal it so it was replaced. during the repair, I change the fluids on the transfer case and front differential. The vehicle had a really bad coolant leak from the rear coolant end cap so the transmission had to be removed and I replace the rear main seal as preventive maintenance. I also changed out the transmission fluid with five quarts. The coolant end cap is billet aluminum. I plan on during the brakes within the new few months so I'll keep you posted. |

You could have just used the ZF fluid. Cheaper.
