Comfort Access Door Handles - Swap Rear's to Front?

So I purchased a 2013 E70 X5 with M-Sport Package a few weeks ago. Car is in very good shape but of course has a few issues that I am working through.

The comfort access door handles for the front doors do not work (both driver and passenger). But the rear doors do work.

Can I just swap the rears to the fronts in that case? They look to be identical.

The front and rear do look identical. On parts diagrams the part numbers for front and rear are different.

Mine all had little stickers on them saying BMW E9X (which only have front CA), so I would guess the door handles are all front door handles borrowed off the 3-series at the time.

Yes you can swap the door handles rear to front, or front to rear and they will work. I did this on the driver's side of my 2012 X5 because the front driver's door comfort access handle didn't work when I bought it. Took a few minutes to swap the handles and the front driver's works perfectly. Obviously you just swap the handle and not the part that has the keyed lock.

Thanks. I watched a couple of videos and it seems pretty easy to do. Will likely try this today.
