Hey guys I'm looking for options for putting a bike rack on my X. I'm an avid road cyclist and occasionally need to load up the bike. Does anyone have the part number for an OEM roof bar setup or has anyone had luck with using an aftermarket option? I've looked around and haven't been able to definitively identify a part number for the OEM bars for a 2011 X5M. So I'm looking for some guidance.

Cheers

Update:Got the OEM part number if anyone is wondering for the X5M base support cross bars that works with the low profile rails on M-Sport and M: 82710405052

I ordered them directly with my dealer including my BMWCCA discount. They know which ones to order, no hassle. They fit perfectly and make sure to install the rubber as well or you will have a terrible hiss driving .... ask me how I know this lol.

Are you referring to these? Obviously more is needed to mount a bike.

I'm pretty sure this system works on all E70 X5's.

Just called my local dealer parts department he said there are no OEM roof bar setups that will work with the "m" low profile roof rails...but he could have the rails swapped for the regular x high profile bars for about $700 hahaha...piss on that looks like I'm going the Thule route unless I can get this OEM enigma figured out which I was what I'm hoping to stay with

Update:Got the OEM part number if anyone is wondering for the X5M base support cross bars that works with the low profile rails on M-Sport and M: 82710405052

Just an update installed the factory roof support system (cross bars) for the flush roof rails that are on the x5m and Msport models. It worked flawlessly and installed in 15mins. I'll post up some photos this evening

Is it a noisy set up?
Like any vibrations or rattles?
Can you notice it while you drive?
I'd like to do the same setup on my X5M! Thanks bro!

Only notice any wind noise when I have the roof panels tilted up, so I will close the roof above ~60 MPH. Other than that, I do not notice it, and no rattles or anything.
I do have the cargo box off most of the time, but I keep the rails and bike attachment on pretty much all the time.

I went with the seasucker option.

And it stores perfectly in my subcargo compartment.

Yeah the seasucker is great and I use it mainly on the Z3M. So convenient! I ended up getting the roofrails for the X5M since a buddy gave me a BMW bike rack.

what is that in your last picture? does the bike rack have a lever arm that can swing down or something?
