Regarding the little screw, the best method is to hit it with an impact gun. It will never strip that way. I never use oil or hammer on these. Zip. And it’s loose, everytime. Just ensure your allen is the right size and fully inserted.

Couple taps on the rotor with a lead hammer and your golden.

I've moved the seat forward as needed and used a hammer, rod, etc wedged between the brake pedal and seat if someone wasn't around to hold the pedal for me.

This also works for brake bleeding.

My X5 50i installed with a new StopTech slotted rotors and EBC Yellow stuff pads and MGP red caliper covers. Got it done at a Ford Dealership on labor basis.

Got it off. Was completely rusted on, lol. Had to use a torx bit and hammer on it. then it just came off easily. Put on ebc yellow track pads and stock rotors. (well, better than stock according to the manufacturer.) I couldn't find any slotted rotors, till I saw this thread! Too late tho. Next time I'll go for the slotted. But, it brakes much better than stock with the yellow stuff. Really noisy, making grinding noises at first, but eventually goes away. It says about 1K mile break-in before it has max performance tho. I need to paint the calipers. I like that blue you had there.

Hey OP,

How are the brakes treating you after a couple weeks of driving?

Your link seems to be for the X6M - but I am assuming they are interchangeable correct? Looking into getting them for my 2013 X5m

Thanks!

About 120 miles on them, slight squeel but common on these pads for 1000 miles or so. No issues with the rotors.

I did the bed procedure two more times and the pulse has reduced but not gone. Could that pad material be the problem? These posi-quiets are pretty soft.

jandref321 Did you end up keeping the Posi Quiet pads? How do you like them?

I still have them but that's because I've been out of the country for a while. I'm planning on swapping once I get back. The Posiquiet produce a lot of dust and don't feel that great either.
