Post E71 X6M performance

Hello
I was comparing the engine Performance of the BMW X6 M E70 vs BMW X6 50i F15, in numbers it seems that the E71 is much powerful but considering the technology of the F15 it seems close , so which is faster

1-drag race 0-60
2-Top Speed
3- Reliability

If considering buying the E71 X6M with 10,000miles and willing to keep for 100,000miles what are the watch outs

Moreover, as i was shopping around i witnessed some include the bubble Hood and others don't, is this an optional feature ?

One more thing , are there any 2014s or the production ended 2013
Thanks

When the lease was up on my '13 X6M, I ordered a '16 X6 50i. I hated it and lasted only 4 months before turning it in for a '16 X6M.

Having had both the E71 50i and E71 M, the only difference was the power. This is not the case with the F16/F86. If you found a low mileage F16M, I say go for it. I can't talk long term reliability, but I can talk smiles per gallon. The F16 does have the 8 speed transmission which is an improvement and shifts smoother but the E71M was a blast to drive. It was a beast. I strongly suggest you test drive both before making your decision.

I had the power dome hood on the '13, it was not an option, it was standard. Not sure on the '14s.

Good luck.

I have a '14 X6M with around 43K miles. Never tested anything newer so can't speak to much of your post, but I can say I enjoy my car and it's been quite reliable *knock on wood*.

Hi there, I also have 14'M about 47k on it now. No issues, all smiles. recently installed a velos tune best 0-60 w/o launch control is 3.71. Never really topped it out but did a few back road pulls against a 19' Dodge Challenger Scat pak and gapped him pretty good at 165ish.and was still pulling.assume the tune I installed must have removed the governor.

Good luck with your decision.

E71 M. More of a classic. The grandfather of Hi-Performance SUV.

This is the reason it's a

GLE/GLC
X4
Urus
Q8
F-Pace
SRT Trackhawk
Stelvio QF
Levante
and many more

Get take care of it and watch it rise in value. Especially with the strict EMISSIONS ON THE horizon.

Hi there, almost exactly the same here too. Given enough road it will keep climbing... Can't say I have had much better than 3.9 0-60 though. Point it in the direction you want to go and floor it!

Cheers
