Finally installed my matte black grilles from ECS Tuning and gave my buddy a hand doing the exhaust mod. I decided to go full straight pipe on both and the sound is fantastic in regular driving and M modes, although I always drive in M mode anyway.

Next up...powdercoat the wheels matte black, lower and add wheel spacers

Any experience with the 9.0 version of the 10.25" avinusa headunit?

I have a 2011 e70 and was looking at this because I like the updated display and all the options with this, especially the carplay. Heard lots of complaints about the sound quality, BT connection, CarPlay functions, etc... wondering if this new version has all the bugs worked out.

I'm not exactly sure which bugs u talking about, one of the most noticeable inconveniences was pretty bad microphone in the unit but I haven't had a chance to try that on new unit! other than that everything working as it should at least on my friend's car, BT, CarPlay, Sound etc.,
my works ok still!

Ok sweet! I just read lots of reviews on the 7.1 and 8.1 android versions of the headunit and saw many people complaining about those things... really I just want the bigger/higher quality screen, the CarPlay function, and equal or better sound quality. I think I'll put this on my list of "to do". Thanks!

Replaced the Stabilizer Links, almost forgot how smooth this car is, all the steering wheel rattling is gone, no more knocking sounds on bumps.

One simply just fell out when we tried pulling it out, that's how bad they were.

Today my baby gets a wash. It was a long tow to wisconsin and back, pulling the drift car, and I had to park for two nights under some nasty trees. I'll be getting that stuff off my paint asap today!

Then I have to tow the drift car back to storage, and take everything out of my X5. Need to deflate the bags on the X5 too, and soften up that rear ride again.

Did an oil change today with Liqui Moly New Gen Molygen 5w-40 Oil and the Liqui Moly Ceratec additive. Good to go for another 6k miles now.

Really need to get around to changing out the fluids in the diffs, transfer case, and transmission. Will also be mounting some Nitto Motivos in the near future as well - they're sitting in the garage just trying to squeeze the last miles out of the stock run flats before swapping them out.

I would skip those Motivo’s. I currently have them on for about 5k miles. They are noisy, hard to balance even with road force balancing. The big gaps between outer tread blocks makes them susceptible to cupping . E70’are known for these issues(even with perfect alignment) and that would make it worst. However, they are budget tires and if that’s what you’re after for then I guess it wouldn’t really matter.
I rather dish out a couple more hundred on my next set with some dws.

I've already got them. Have heard mixed reviews - some people really like them and others not so much. As far as road noise goes anything will be an improvement over the RFTs. I wanted to get Michelin PS4S but needed a tire I could use year round and it gets a bit too cold here in Portland for the PS4S.

Even if I get a year out of the Motivos I'll be happy.

On my '13 diesel with 74k the engine light came on. Pulled codes 433A and 483D. Ordered new pressure sensor. ( part number 13-62-7-792-260 from BMW of South Atlanta $76.24 plus shipping) Changed out the sensor and cleared the codes. Took all of 15mins. Fingers crossed when my wife takes it to work tomorrow. Check out the end of the old sensor:

Ok this is the dummest thing I ever did, recently changed brake pads, all good until 2 days later I started having a grinding sound coming from the passenger side, started low but ended up seriously bad, the car was un-drivable. Took a test run with the guys that replaced pads, and they said it sounds like I need to replace bearings, then I started getting quotations for new bearings, chose the cheapest then drove the very same car very slow to fetch my friend so we could go buy the bearings. When I got there I see him staring at my passenger side wheel then he said, "WHY ARE YOU DRIVING THE CAR WITH ONLY 2 NUTS ON THE WHEEL?" I'm like what?? I checked and all the nuts were missing except for 2 and they were also loose! The damn guys from the Brakes Dealer forgot to tighten the nuts after changing pads. I've just replaced new ones and problem solved. Almost caused serious problem for nothing.

I do most of my own work, but when I have the shop do work (or tire shop putting on new shoes), I always loosen the nuts and torque them myself if a wheel had to come off.

You were very lucky...
