I read through the thread, has this been done without any codes or issues? Also, supporting dyno of a before and after? thanks.

Testing charge pipe setup for tu turbos with atmospheric blowoff no cel boost is strong.

Still need to install tu turbos but at this point not expecting any issues since it all bolts on.

JB4 w/BCM no other tuning

Updated PCV as well with some nice catch cans for the blow by and completely separated the banks - removed the vacuum hose between the banks.

100 mile trip no issues except blew a spark plug and hose burst from boost...but simple fixes running strong.

Ready for CA inspection

Do you have pictures of your charge pipes before you installed them? Awesome setup, can't believe they aren't throwing a cel, would love to hear it!

I didn’t take any photos before installing, I can when I put the other turbos on when I have it apart again.

It’s currently pretty quiet since the valves I got are originally intended to recirculate and be stealthy but turns out it actually isn’t needed and I can use an actual atmospheric valve that will go make the wooosh

I’m still testing to make sure everything is actually ok but I’m not surprised this works given we don’t use a MAF

Would love to see a DIY on this. How did you bypass the Diverter Valve wiring without a CEL? What is the routing of the BOV vacuum lines in reference to the wastegates and boost solenoids?

So guys i have a set of F10 M5 Headers sitting in the shop according to the Master tech, he says i can have them for a cheap price...Would it benefit the E70 X5M in a positive way to slap these on with an AA stage 1 tune? I do not plan on going catless DP's. Thanks.

Still testing this but been going fine for a month now without any pesky engine lights

Car sounds completely stock and I’m pretty sure this is going to be plug and play at this point.

Will provide more details once I make more progress ... I’m just a bit slow sorry

I think the only issue is space ... quite sure they bolt right up for the most part.

Little bit of an update my plan is to put together a kit with the following :

1. Kit includes pipes, valves, hoses and clamps and of course instructions, BOV itself it up to you to purchase

This will allow for the following,

1. aftermarket BOV recirculating
2. aftermarket atmospheric dump

This will work with both the non-tu and TU turbos, this would be required to upgrade to the TU turbos unless you can figure something else out.

Still not sure on pricing but thinking around 200-300 bucks without the BOV’s which is a fucking steal considering the price of OEM replacement is 500 and made of plastic.

As is best just doing a lot of testing to make sure everything works as it should, of course once I know this is all solid I’ll add info for those that want to DIY.

If you remove the front bar that is there just to support the stock intake.....should give a little more room?

I don't mind keeping the recirc...I'd rather have a simple option that I can incorporate meth bungs in. I guess the basic straight pipe with angled hoses is still the best option though and have a cnc DV mount welded on along with a bung for each pipe. How are you sealing off the turbo recirc inlet?

I’ve sealed and capped the hoses for now with just some basic caps and clamped the hoses.

I originally intended on keeping it recirculating but found it can just dump without issue which is how the f10 turbos will require ... the issue with the DV+ is they are pretty reliant on the stock housing and would require a very specific adapter which will need to custom, it would be much easier and likely cheaper to just go with quality aftermarket recirculating valve.

Meth bunge are very easy to add

So i got my tune from TTFS, just waiting for the upload and read device to arrive. Was still wondering if it'll be beneficial to install F10 M5 headers since i am getting them for really cheap.

You will need to have the turbos machined to mate with the manifolds as they are different ... I would expect some benefits others that used them noticed a better spool and throttle response but that’s combined with the turbos as well, could be the same throw them on and see what happens will be a good experiment.

If it requires machining then I won't go through with this now bud. I would have gotten them now only if it was bolt on. Thanks for the answer though.

Turbos fit either manifold and Vice versa... Haven't been on in a while I have stripped the car and its currently in for paint. COLOUR CHANGE !! any way F10 M5 intercoolers just wouldn't fit... Ive decided to keep the standard X6 intercoolers. engine is complete though and running perfectly now for about 5 months. everything has been heat treated or heat protected under the hood.

Any way I will post some pictures soon once the car is back from the paint shop. A few little teaser pictures below. `Guess the new colour ??

Hey all. So I have a 2011 550xi (N63) and looking to do the hole f10 M5 turbo swap. So from I have read on here I would also need to get the M5 header moved over as well?

I assume I would also have to get the 3.5TMAP then as well?

Hi there,

You don't have to swap the headers but I recommend it as they have a better flow rate. turbos are a straight swap. You will indeed need to mount your MAF sensor somewhere if you're getting rid of the 5.0 air box.

You can keep the 5.0 air box, it will fit over everything but since you are doing the conversion I would change to a cone filter setup. Your'e problem will be that you will need to relocation your MAF sensors.

S63tu turbos do not fit correctly on s63 manifold, same goes for s63 turbos on s63tu manifold.

My setup is up and running now with no CEL boost feels great completely stock tuning, this should be a CA legal setup .... This is using atmospheric blowoff as well which is noticeable

Everything for the most part bolts right up with the exception of the PCV system and coolant lines.

On to tuning
