I bought two pairs of 3.5" DiMisa Tips in black ($278/pr). Arrived in a satin (low luster) powdercoating. I'm going to have them thermal ceramic coated in gloss black. I was quoted ~$150 for install, and coating is between $150-$250. Hmmm, lots of $$ for just tips, lol. If I had known I was going to re-coat them I would have just ordered them uncoated or unpolished, would have been cheaper. I need those tips...

Quick shot on fill up, FILTHY, and am ashamed to say no wash in months, just touchless on occasion, but the ceramic pro keeps it looking decent...

Oh, and am really liking the wheels more and more. I'll frequently wipe down the polished spokes and rim to make them stand out, dust comes off with ease.
Looks fantastic. I really should start my Build Journal here in a few days. Its just so hot here i am not in the mood to go out and take pics LOL.

I might try to do the OE Exhaust mod and then do the tips at the same time.

Don't blame you, it's scorching. On the Exhaust Mod, is that the mod where you open up the can and straight-pipe the valved pipe(s)?

Did you wrap the interior with Dinoc? That looks great, I want to do that because my brushed aluminum is dented and a bit beat up...

Hmm...my piano trim is cracked, I may be interested if you decide to stick with the carbon. (Or may be interested in the Carbon if you decide to switch - that Carbon is nice - for the right price, of course)

Rear Spacers installed

Been offline lately, finally spent some time installing the spacers. I only installed the rears b/c they were needed, but I felt I didn't need to do the fronts...just yet...I'll reassess F/R spacers after the dinan suspension is installed.

In case someone is wondering what was involved...

PARTS: Pair H&R 15mm Spacers for X5M Rear 72.56 Hub (3075725SW, DR Series) w/Qty.10 H&R Extended Conical Seat Lug Bolts (14x1.25x43mm) (14254301SWJ) (The bolt heads on these now look identical to the oem lug bolt, not like the image on the vendor website)

TOOLS: Impact Wrench (IR 2235TiMax) and 17mm Impact Socket, or 1/2" Breaker Bar and 17mm Socket, 1/2" Torque Wrench (140Nm), magnetic pickup, wheel chocks, Jack (AC Hydraulics DK20)

CONSUMABLES: anti-seize, degreaser, rubber gloves, wash station to clean wheels, optima no-rinse to wipe down calipers

Lifting Points: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...-away/1M86TlIK

Not yet but I have ordered them already, even before the H&R 1.2" kit lol. Dinan highly highly recommends theirs but their bump stops are F10 relabeled. Get the four of the part number I posted from a good online site and make sure to install them on your car while doing the spring install.

I have the H&R 1.2" kit for more than 2 years now and still can't get used with the harsh/bumpy ride of our X5M, my wife hates them that's why I'm planning to have the stock springs reinstalled on my next brake service. Will these F10 M5 bump stops improve the ride quality of the H&R 1.2" springs?I might not need to reinstall the oem springs if the ride quality will be closer to stock. Does the X5M equipped with bump stops? Do I need anything else aside from these F10 M5 bump stops? Thanks!

Look at this:

X5M H&R 1.2" Springs & Spacers Install https://www.xbimmers.com/forums/show....php?t=1543027

My car has the same kit as yours with the bump stops and rides like stock with rock hard 6 year old pirelli RFTs.

UNFORTUNATE UPDATE. I had just picked up my Cerakoted 3.5" exhaust tips and was on my way when a guy ran a red light and clipped my front end

Everyone was ok and it could have been worse. I had just started out on a green light when he came by...we both swerved when we saw each other, so that helped. He didn't hit my wheel, but as they disassemble they have found some minor apron damage. Waiting to hear final status. Luckily I have an amazing shop that has been working on bmw's for 20+ years.

Already eyeing other cars...will see what happens.

Sorry about the accident and glad to hear everyone is ok. I'm sure the shop will have it back to 100% soon.

Power dome crossed my mind...might make it more desirable when/if I sell.
