Interesting assessment. We followed the lines of the original bumper. I see what you're saying in that it make it more pronounced, but I kinda like it that way. I'll definitely post more pics after I get it installed and set. (I'm hawking my other one, as of yet received in classifieds.)

After cutting a couple wires on my pedal connector in a completely boneheaded move, I was able to fix it. I didn't want to take a chance trying to just temp fix it, my car has been in limp mode and down for about a week. I had to order a new weather pack connector, pins and rubber pin gaskets. I had to buy a crimper and I also bought a depinning set. I ended up just using a pick tool though anyway. I removed the intact wires and pins and cut the broken ones, spliced down about 1/4" added the rubber gasket, and used the weatherpack crimper to crimp the pin on. It crimps the gasket and pin the wire. Once it was back together, threw the sprint booster in and took a long victory lap. No check engine light and opposite of limp mode. Fun times, leaving it on 9, not too sensitive for me!

Childhood friend has his own customization/fab work going in Stillwater, OK.
Seems like there are several interested parties running at my inbox... May end up having a conversation re: making more of these. Seems like there's still a market. |

Loaded the drift car back up, and pulled it home in prep for my event on Saturday. Continues to pull the load well. The X5 doesn't squat a crazy amount wihth jsut the tongue weight, but once I put my tools and some more tires int eh back of it, it really starts to get loaded down. This pic has 550 lbs of tongue weight measured, and nothing extra in the rear yet.
Still haven't had a chance to install the in-coil airbags I have for the rear springs. Might try to get to it tomorrow, since I'll have my x5 in my shop for an oil change while the drift car isn't taking up all the space. Depends on timing, really. |

Added some floor mats that I'm testing out. I just pulled them out of the bag and threw them in, so hopefully some of these creases will go away. Loving how much they cover and they're water proof.
I have the weather techs as well, but wanted to take these for a spin. |
