I couldn’t justify spending $1500 each for a turbo. The S63 cost so much more than the N63 turbo. Both rebuild kit cost me a little over $100 bucks.

Yeah even a grand a pop was pretty hard for me to but I have almost a hundred and forty-five thousand miles on it now and it came with new diverter valves and vacuum actuators so I figured it was time. Plus I'm about to add the JB4 so I'm replacing all the coils and plugs again even though they only have 40,000 miles on them since I did it last time and haven't given me any issues. I want to rule out as many possible variables if I get any misfire codes. If I do the injectors are being replaced next

I did my injectors not too long ago and it was a living nightmare. At 90k miles they were seized in the cylinder head. Only the 130300/130301 injector tool were able to get them out. No way you can attach one of those slide puller with the angle of the v8. Even the thick steel that grips the injector were bent. I was having anxiety attack of having to replace the cylinder head. Improvising and patience sure pays off. Hope yours will be a smooth process when it’s time.

Along with the valve cover I'll be doing some other maintenance and preventative work. Thermostat, engine oil and filter, engine air filter, harmonic dampener, front pads and rotors.

This was the kit I bought
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Garrett-GT1...ty!60560!US!-1

Your stock turbo thrust bearing will look like the ones in this kit
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Garrett-GT1...QAAOSwBahUzI9z

Either will work.

really hasn't done too much recently, except:

1. went to change my wheels yesterday (from winters (black) to summers (white)) changed the rears fine, went to change the fronts and wheels came off with spacers stacked to them, after recent powder coating the shop did "good job" covering 100% of the wheel including place where wheel meets the hub, my fault I had to clean it up before putting it on the car but I didn't! After few tries I wasn't able to separate spacers from the front wheels and decided to leave them on winter wheels and order new set for the summers.
I also didn't feel like I want to put my summer wheels on the front without spacers and look for the shorter bolts.
Rear wheels came off fine as I'm using wider spacers there which are bolted on to the hub.

2. so new 15mm H&R spacers ordered

3. new OEM front wipers ordered (never replaced them before)

3. new OEM rear wiper ordered (I replaced it last year with cheap Chinese version, it works fine but its all rusted)

4. new spark plugs and coils ordered, time to deal with rest of the cylinders

that's about it for now

have a great weekend!

A self-loader truck with speed dollies. Below is how you pull a vehicle with all four wheels locked up.

BMW made it so easy!

See above. No trans lock, just the parking brake malfunction with brakes on.
