I had a chance to install the H&R kit today. I also had a long through review and when I tried to post it the app timed out so it didn't save any info. Here's the short version.

The look:

It looks amazing. I thought it was too low at first, and on stock wheels it is low. With 22's, you're right back up to stock ride height, inside the cabin at least, so it feels like an SUV. On stockers, it feels like a sedan. If you have balls of steel run the 2". If you're looking for a bit of sporty, the 1.2 is plenty and then some.

The ride:

It's bouncy, but not in the way you imagine. When I first read others saying bouncy I was hesitant; as it turns out, there's no other word to describe it. With all that said, the guys who say it is not bouncy say that because it's really not bad. On stock wheels it's more bouncy than with 22's. I'm guessing it's because there's more tire wall to rebound. With 22's it's stiffer but the bounce goes alway. Also, the bounce is not harsh, it's more fluid if that makes sense. Cracks in the street are absorbed the same as stock. The only time I felt the bounce was when I rolled over uneven pavement, wavy pavement if you know what I mean.

The steering is somewhat improved, and the car feels more planted there's no questions there. On the freeway 100 feels like 50, I had to check my speed a couple of times.

The verdict:

If you're a snob like I am about anything with your ride including comfort, the 1.2" is ok. I'd even say the Dinan 1" drop would work as well but then you're not really getting that "wow it's lowered" look. The best part is that it took my guy about 45 minutes to install, and it takes the same time to go back to stock.

I'll have some proper photos with the 22" wheels in their for sale ad.

Ok now that it posted, I can add that driving, people take notice. Also, you feel like a misfit driving it. But it works because it's not a slammed Civic on Daytons, it's a respectable German SUV and I think that's why people find it so appealing.

Well said, I have 22's and the 1.2 drop and it rides just as good if not better than stock. Glad I resisted forum peer pressure and didn't spend thousands on KW's for basically the same look and ride quality

Only time it feels bouncy is after driving over a speed bump, other than that it NEVER feels bouncy

It is the same look, except with KW you can go even lower which I wouldn't do anyway. When she came off the lift I thought it was too low and we had to double check that we were sent the proper kit and not the 2"!

Still haven't aligned her. Will post that as well.

Looks great, I want to do this with my D on 20's.

What tires on you on? Im still on crappy RFT's which have a super stiff sidewall.

OP can't tell you how many times I've done the same thing only to have the app timeout. Thanks for posting your experience. Very interested in these for my 35i as well. @boneca your ride looks spot on with that drop.

The stance is clean. Just have to wait a week or two to let the front do what it's gonna do and then fine tune.
