Object security feature on the 2013 X6?
Quick question… got my X6 for couple of weeks and been lazy to go through the book but would like a quick help if possible. My co worker told me that he saw a new X5 with a security feature that will alert you when theirs object coming close to you , like a deer or human and you about to hit it. Do you guys know what I am talking about? Do you know do we have to get a technology package with that or it’s already pre built on there but I haven’t activated it yet? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I don't believe the X6 or X5 have a collision avoidance system. You can get the front/rear sensors (I think they might even be standard), but they are only active when you are in reverse (you can activate them if not in reverse but they turn off when you start driving).

You used to be able to get night vision on the satnav which would light up pedestrians/animals etc and that is probably what is being referred to. However, that was not even an option in the UK when I put my X6M50d order in recently.
