One word “WOW”
I never knew my 35i had this much juice.
And btw thanks Nikko for the hook up.

Installed mine and left it at lvl 5. Wow what a difference... the responsiveness is amazing, instant power! I'm actually really impressed and thinking I need one for the 335d now.

it's one of the first upgrades i do to every one of my cars that are drive by wire(which is nearly everything these days). i'm not sure why there are people that downplay the sprint boosters. true it doesn't change hp or torque but it changes the way you feel delivery in both N/A engines and turbo. completely changes the dynamics of driving your car. glad to hear positive responses

Hi

I was wondering is there any difference from the V3 compare to the V2 sprint booster?

From what I've read, the V2 only went to 5 as the most sensitive race mode, now the V3 goes to 9, adding more modes and higher sensitivity in terms of throttle response. They also cosmetically updated it, sleeker and smaller.

9, its more a matter of personal preference. For me, I mounted where it was easy to hide wires because I don't like clutter from wires but that's just me. From my experience, after initially driving with it for a week or so you'll learn what setting that you like it at or are comfortable and won't be constantly switching modes and so on so I mounted where I could glance at it, make adjustments if needed and it's still out of view. If you are planning to switch often or use valet mode on regular basis, you may want it where it is a little more visible and accessible. In my 550, I never actually mounted it. I had just left it laying at back of floor mat and grabbed it when I needed it. One thing to consider is to leave it loose (lay it in console) for a few weeks to see how frequently you are needing to access it to make adjustments and then mount based upon needs

Car is looking good. Love the power dome

Stupid question, wouldn't a transmission or engine tune do the same?

I was told that the ecu bench flash that i got on my X5M would nullify the need to get sprint booster because it was built into the tune. after ecu upgrade there was very minor benefit or change compared to what you are able to do and feel with sprint booster.

also, sprint booster will not effect anything with engine tune. it simply sends a signal to throttle bodies and controls the rate they open.

it also gives you the ability to put in valet mode, fuel conservation or completely off, at the push of a button. i believe the new ones even have a theft mode that completely disables pedal if you wish.

If I remember correctly, I believe you pinch the tabs on each side and it releases the front of the clip to slide connector off.

You should be able to look at new sprint booster connector that connect to pedal to see what kind of release mechanism it has. It will be a direct replica of OEM connector

Well don't do what I did and use needle nose, mine slid off and I bit through 2 wires, no now my car is in limp mode and I had to go order a new connector etc.

Pull the slack of the wire out from under the carpet, there is enough to pull the pedal out and get your fingers on it. You squeeze them and pull, that simple, but pull the slack up so you have some leverage.
