Anyone have experience with the products by this outfit?

http://rheingoldusa.com

They have NCSexpert in one of their packages. They also have the simplified BMW type interface as well, from what I can tell.

For the past 5 years I have stumbled through the same software titles as offered by BMWDIAGNOSTICS, which is a fleabay seller...his stuff was packaged in windows XP virtual machines. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.

I am wondering if the Rheingold flavors work well.

Yeah their product is good. From my understand some of the installation is simplified. I had someone remote into my computer and code my car with ncs expert.

Since you've changed the above, wondering if you saw any of the same things I did:

I went through and changed all of the above in my 13 35i. After doing so, the liftgate would not open at all. Pressing the button on the fob and the button inside vehicle would do the same; liftgate would pop open 1-2 inches then seem like it would try to close and stop. Pressing either button again would repeat that sequence. Pressing the hatch release on the liftgate itself did nothing if it was closed, and closed it completely if it were open the 1-2 inches. The only way I could get it open was to crawl in through the back and pull the emergency release. I could open it then (not using any of the buttons but manually) and could close it manually (button did not work to close.)

It was also during this that I started getting dsc and xdrive malfunction lights. Disconnected the battery, same thing. Then tried putting each item back to original. Eventually it all worked out...and I have decided now to step away from this while I research.
