Side marker *logo* removal

I purchased carbon side markers for $99. They are lacking the ///M logo decal, those side markers with them are $500

I was curious to see for those of you that have done this, how was it done, with a heat gun, solvent, chisel?

There are enough threads on pulling the markers but no sense of how to get the decal off and the decal is not sold separately from the side marker itself. Unobtanium.

I have a 2012 Melbourne Red with the Vorsteiner CF bits on it, so I wanted CF all over the outside.

So the logo decals are metal backed and warp easy if you mess up. The adhesive is very strong, so I suggest a thin-flat piece of metal heated up. Use a spark plug gapper and a lighter to heat it up. It slides right off. Then JB Weld that sucker to the new part.

I have been meaning to update this, the decals are on my desk, I did not transfer them yet. I hope to do it this weekend.
