He is not a top 10 QB....He has no range, yes he can run and yes he can throw dump passes to backs but he is not a consistant mid to long range QB and I dont like him to begin with. He was never better than Mcnabb and he wont be any better now that he is back, its just going to cause unneeded drama for the whole season.

I hate the guy personally for what he did, but athletically, he's ridiculous. I thought it was smart of them to pick up him up, and they probably don't have to pay him much of anything compared to his old salary.

P Manning
E Manning T Romo Ben Roesth. Drew Brees D McNab Kurt Warner Matt Cassel Phillip Rivers Aaron Rodgers Matt Ryan Tom Brady J Cutler the 2 top rookies (Sanchez/Stafford) Take any of the above over Vick and pretty sure I left off a few more QBs.

The whole stir over Vick going back to the league after this cracks me up. Because it's obviously okay for all of the other substance abusing, violence, rapist, DUI, etc etc etc athletes to keep playing, but GASP not the dog fighter...

This could turn out good or bad for the Eagles.
They will be very versatile on offense, and able to give defenses a lot of different looks. Teams will have to study two different very potent QBs instead of just one. This is a lot of extra work. There will be a running threat on the field besides Westbrook. Also, now that McNabb has a legitimate backup, he'll feel the pressure a bit more and might perform better because of it. Also, McNabb is old; If Vick works out, they get him on a long-term and he becomes their QB for the future. Downside includes of course the ramifications if Vick does not perform. Also, the distraction to the team that he will inevitably bring. Also, him and McNabb are completely different QBs. How will the offense adapt on the fly to these two different styles? In my opinion, the upside trumps the downside at this point considering his low cost.

I believe people deserve 2nd chances if they screwed up because life circumstances caused them to make a wrong choice. But I don't believe he deserves a 2nd chance to play again in the NFL because:
1. He was successful and had no reason to gamble on dog fighting other than for the sport of it. Only a retard would risk losing everything they had just to fight dogs. 2. All NFL players know what the consequences are if they are caught doing something illegal. They are even lectured about it during their rookie symposiums. 3. Most people will feel remorse because they are caught and lose everything. Doesn't mean he is remorseful for killing dogs. 4. How many of us would get rehired at our jobs if we pulled this kind of crap. That being said, I don't care if he plays again. I like watching him on the field and I am curious to see how he performs again. I just don't think he deserves it. |

You gotta look at where he grew up and his history to see why he was doing something like dog fighting. Is it common where he grew up? Was it "accepted" in his circles? Not trying to justify that it is right but serving two years of hard time is enough of a sentence for me IMO.
