Driven by my wife for the past few years and only selling as we recently leased a BMW i3 that she has been daily driving. We currently have 4 BMWs, including my X5M, so this vehicle is a bit redundant and is just not getting driven enough to justify keeping it. It’s been an extremely reliable yet super fun vehicle. It’s always been garaged, washed weekly, never smoked in and never any pets. I’m a BMW enthusiast and have maintained this vehicle well. I replaced the runflat tires with far more comfortable and stable Continental DSW06 tires. There is no spare, as it has the 3rd seat but as my wife and I have AAA, we would just have it towed to a tire shop if there was ever an issue(there hasn’t been). We’ve never towed with it, and my wife is a very conservative driver, so it's been babied.

The vehicle is in very good condition overall. The interior is extremely clean and looks almost new. Everything works perfectly. The exterior is in good condition given the vehicle is nearly 10 years old. I’ve waxed it regularly, but there are still some small rock chips and door dings. Overall the vehicle shows well and looks much newer than it is.

The vehicle is located in Santa Cruz CA and the miles will go up here and there as we’ll continue to drive it a few times. Asking $13,500.

Very nice - it looks like new! I like seeing enthusiast owned + maintained E70's 'for sale' on the forum - you don't find them like this on Craigslist, Autotrader, etc.

And clearly you've got a late 2011 35d build as it has the LCI LED coronas

GLWS.

Thank you for the kind words! My wife and I do take pride in taking very good care of our vehicles and I'm glad it shows. This one isn't perfect, but considering it's age/miles it shows quite well.

It's a 6/28/2011 build, so definitely a late 2011.

Thanks again, hopefully I'll be able to find another enthusiast who will continue to keep it in tip top shape.

Quick update:

Vehicle had a CEL come on, codes read and one of the glow plugs has gone bad. I'm taking it into my indie shop(the same one that just rebuilt me X5M's motor) to have it taken care of this week.

Willing to get it's the glow plug controller. I had a CEL come on that said cylinder 6 was bad, replaced glow plug & CEL popped back on. Have to remove intake manifold to get to glow plugs. Luckily controller can be removed with intake manifold on. Replaced the controller & I was good to go.

Good to know, thank you! Perhaps I'll try and change the controller first as that sounds much easier and possibly something I could do myself.

It seems as though you were correct, thanks for the heads up! I swapped the controller this morning and no codes have come back. I will say... It was a major pain to get that thing out. I ended up going from underneath which allowed me to use my hands to undo the plugs instead of a screw driver, but even so, it was more of a challenge than I anticipated.

I finally had a chance to take some proper photos of the vehicle.

Good to hear, I guess that's still better than removing the intake manifold, haha.

This is beautiful ! My wife and I have owned our E70 diesel for 5 years. We fully deleted last May but are at 173k and this thing never misses a beat. Blue is definitely the color we wish we took at different glance at! Fair price and optioned right! GLWS!

Price drop to $12,000.

I've had quite a bit of interest locally through craigslist, but no has followed through.

Fantastic vehicle!! My wife and I have had our 2011 for 5 years now, bought with 35k, now at 174k and going strong. Ours of course has the Full deletes and tune. Its our super awesome kid hauler.
Note on the glow plug issue: Ensure your Thermostat is operating to correct temp and isnt keeping the engine running too cool. This happened to us at about 142k miles. It will give you NO warning, and what happens is the glow plugs are repeatedly asked to get engine up to operating temp, causing them to prematurely fail from being overworked. The Thermostat is the one weak component on these.

Anyways, GLWS!! I love this color!!

This is nice! Goodluck with sale. I had an AW/Beige 35d Sport for a little while. Wouldn't mind getting back into one. Too bad this is across the country

Wow. I just picked up a '17 F15 diesel for the wife. If she weren't concerned about wanting a newer vehicle (just because), I'd've taken this off your hands immediately.

Ad says Continental DSW06, which are all season tires.

No Comfort Access per VIN decoder.

Correct to both. I also have another set of DSW06 tires for the X5 in my garage I could possible include in the sale.

I'm glad this one will be off the market soon. I have no use for it, but keep finding myself thinking "maybe I should buy a light RV as an excuse to get this as one of the prettiest dedicated tow-cars ever."
