X6 Reliability?

Hi,

Can anyone share his experience on the X6 35i reliability?

I consider buying a 2012 version (built in late 2011) and looking for some experience in terms of reliability of the car. The car has 51k miles on it and price is at $25k. Single owner.

Anyway, I read about control arm and axle mounting issues over time, often beginning around 50k miles.

Curious to get your view.

I finally went to see and drive an X6 35i today. It was a 2014 with 57,000 miles.

It was nicely optioned with HUD and a leather dash, but I could tell the hood had been painted and was not a true Alpine White III.

So, I won't be having a PPI done on that one but was curious as to it's condition. This will be my first X6 but I have been reading about weak points and have a good grasp on what's needed for maintenance and repairs for the E71.
