JR flashing EGR hardware not required for 35d?

I was looking at buying the economy tune kit from tunemyEuro.com. I asked them what is included in the kit? They responded the following: a tablet for the JR stage 3 flashing, a down pipe and exhaust. I asked if there is anything as far as hardware goes for the EGR delete. They told me that the JR stage 3 software disables the EGR and no hardware is needed. Does this sound right to everyone? I have about 105 miles left until I have a no start condition due to a incorrect exhaust fluid message. I heard this is a very costly wild goose chase trying to figure out what the actual problem is. I figured I would do the tune now as this would be my most economical time to do it and just get rid of the whole emissions mess. Any help on all of this would be greatly appreciated!
