stuck in drive cant start car

2011 bmw e70 3.0L

Anyone know about this problem tried searching couldn't get much, first ill start by saying the transmission is broken bc driveshaft failure and the screw to put transmission in neutral under the car is up, but when i go try and start it the D drive light on shifter is just blinking, and when i hit the start nothing happens also there is a new starter installed.

i checked fuses and took the shifter mechanism out to see if anything is wrong but all seems good.
