DRL and Signal Light DIY
Below are the LEDs I ordered. I bought a bunch so that I had extras if any burnt out or I had any problems. After several months I've had two that are acting up (amber usually doesn't work or sometimes flickers). I can see that the epoxy sealing them has cracked, I'll replace them when I get a chance with the extras I bought. But the white DRL always works. Overall I would recommend them, they are very bright and the white is like a 5000-6000k cool white and the amber is very bright. Negatives: the gauge of the wire was quite thin.
I soldered my DIY marker lights to the stock side marker. Each light has 6 white and 6 amber LEDs. I put 7 of these lights in each foglight cover by simply picking a pattern I thought that looked good and then drilling holes for the "bolts" of the light to pass through. Pictured next is with headlights off, only DRL's and halos. This is what it looks like after I shut my vehicle off; the white DRL continues until I lock the SUV. Second picture is the same photo with just a different focus on camera. Some other photos of them: Short video of my hazards. DRL's are on and the amber is flashing. The lights are slightly brighter to the sides since where I mounted them they point outwards slightly.
