HRE 940RL 22x12 22x10.5 with Pirellis
I have to trade my X5 for a truck so it is with great sorrow I also have to sell these wheels. These are my favorite wheels I've owned. They broke necks everywhere I went with them. These were fully rebuilt last Spring and are 100% perfect. Honestly they are better than new - barrels are powdercoated gloss black. Faces are handbrushed and cleared. Lips are polished and also cleared. Very low maintenance and look amazing. In person and in photos. Zero curb rash. These will fit E70 X5 and X5 M, and of course E71. Should also fit the F models. Will need one set of hubcentric rings to adapt to the smaller hub on the (fronts?) of the M cars. I will provide those if the purchaser needs. These were built for a X6 M so the fitment is perfect on any M or M Sport E70 or 71. I ran these on my E70 50i. Tires are Pirelli Scorpions. 335/25 rear and 295/30 front. Great tires. One of the rears has a couple of chunks out of the sidewall. Long story there, but Tirerack wouldn't replace it. I only put 4 months on these, so maybe 5k miles on them. (Edit: The fronts have more miles on them, I'm guessing around 12k. They are still good though.) They are in great shape. I can get tread depth measurements if needed. These have E70 TPMS included. Ready to roll. offsets: Fronts: 22x10.5 ET 31; Barrel = 7.5" and Lip = 3" Rears: 22x12 ET25; Barrel = 8.5" and Lip = 3.5" I am willing to negotiate on pricing but only reasonable offers will be considered. I will ship but buyer pays shipping. IM me for any questions, more pictures, etc. Last edited by rennis; 06-14-2016 at 04:46 PM.. |

Awesome wheels/price. Just bought a set of the same wheels off another forum member for 1k more with curb rash that is getting fixed right now but I did get brand new P zeros in the rear with them. Are you lowered in these pics?

Not trying to hi-jack this thread, but was wondering what trailer hitch set up you have and how you like it. I have the identical car and would like to add one without having to cut the bumper. Great looking ride btw.

Sounds like the exact same story for the ADV1 22's I bought. They were originally brushed like these, but after being bent and curb rashed, they had to be rebuilt and powder coated so they looked nice again, then he sold them because he realized the same thing we're learning the hard way...staggered 22's look great and that 335 rear tire is sexy, but 2-3 piece wheels are just too flimsy for a heavy truck/SUV. Fortunately I picked them up for $1600 shipped (without tires, which are only $1000) I'll be going cast or monoblock from here on out.

Adv1 are known to bend. Only the lips are quality and barrels are Chinese junk. I heard this info through a reputable rim dealer. Hres rarely bend as the rims are made with 100 percent American metal.

As for bending these - good luck. The barrels are very strong as are the discs. Forged wheels >*. The lips can be bent of course but no worse than any other 3 piece wheel, or cast wheel for that matter. Hit something hard enough with just about anything and yeah it's going to do damage. Just don't hit stuff. I never worried about any of that with these. Then again I don't make a habit of hitting stuff and I've never had a problem with any set of 3 piece wheels I've owned, and I've owned a lot of them. Last edited by rennis; 04-04-2016 at 05:34 PM.. Yep I agree with rennis I've also owned few sets of 3 piece wheels without any issues. Funny you say the 15" wide comment as the wheels I bought are 22x11 and 22x13 and I was worried about rubbing but the previous owner was significantly lowered on KW v3 and said no rubbing.

IMHO, these are the best wheels for this chassis. I believe these are the gold standard for a 3 piece SUV wheel. I lusted after these for years and spent months and many hours and $$$$ making them perfect. It honestly breaks my heart to sell them but I had no choice with the vehicle. My heartfelt loss is your ballar status gain. Last edited by rennis; 04-04-2016 at 06:09 PM.. |

If you want to know what they'd look like on an M, this E70 was what made me need both the rig and the wheels:

LOL rennis I think were twins… Everything you just said above is my exact story down to drooling over that alpine x5m, now I have a alpine white x5m with those same wheels! I can't wait to get them back from getting refinished, having all 4 wheels high speed polished but really only 2 needed it but I am super anal with my wheels. Should have them back on friday I can't wait!! To be honest if I didn't find the set I purchased you would already have a paypal sent for yours haha, I love the powder coated inner barrel touch I may have that done on mine as well, the one touch I really like about my set is they did the brush finish on the face of the spokes but on the sides are still polished, looks unreal! Anyway sorry to derail your thread but someone is going to be really lucky with your set I wouldn't go a hair under 7k to be honest.

I've Googled forged wheel info from other makes as well and it seems to be a hit or miss issue across the board....stories of manufacturers using cheaper materials, failures in workmanship, warranty claims gone unanswered, etc. The iForged 20's on my prior E53 X5 had the same issue...so maybe I've just bought forged wheels from the two lowest quality brands out there

Ya I forged is actually one of the worst for bending aswell as dpe and the list goes on for "high end forged wheels bending" but try and find horror stories about HRE wheels. If you bought rennis wheels then we would be alpine/sahkir twins haha!
Rennis I just noticed you also have a b5 s4 which I had a hard time choosing between my laguna Seca blue e46 m3 and a modded blue b5 s4 years ago.. ended up going with bmw as me and my family are bmw purists... that being said we really are twins brother lol!
