Looks so much better with the pin stripe removed. I think color matching the front reflectors / vent dividers / grill trim would go a long way. Perfect time to do it since your aero kit needs to be sprayed. Nice job so far!

Thanks buddy. I am definitely going to be painting a few things on the car to clean up the look. I saw you recently upgraded to new arms with Monoball bushings? Were these from Dinan? I am curious to how you like them? I have run a couple sets before onbmy previous M5's with great results. Just curious what your overall impression was, and how much it ran you to get your setup?

They are Syncro Design Works monoball bushings and seem very well made. David over there was very helpful and responsive. I paid around $650 for the set including the meyle hd arms (w/ball joints).

I've had a chance to take them on twisty's (that I have driven for years) a few times and am very impressed. I have muscle memory of correcting during certain turns w/dips where I am now having to break that habit due to the X being so much more planted / flat / stable that I now over correct where no correction is needed. Harshness over bumps and feeling every imperfection in the road did seem to increase but has a suprisingly dampened feel to it, completely different feeling from reg bushings if that makes sense.

I really look forward to doing the same runs again on my 214 setup since I much prefer the Continental DWS06 over the scorpion zero's.

Those look exactly like a set I bought for my E34 a couple years back. I never installed them, and they are still in the box. I should take some measurements and see if they would in the E70 arms. My guess is the E70 bushings are larger. I love these type of upgrades, as they do usually make a significant difference in driving dynamics.

I have the same mods minus the wheels, I had a body shop paint my reflectors but they were too lazy to take them off the car and paint them. I'm going to order the painted reflectors from IND soon plus the front grill. I have led fog lights on mine from U3 Plus. Very bright, so bright I drive with my angel lights and fog lights all the time. I also have white led turn signals. Looks beautiful at night.

Your car has been transformed, Great job so far!!

The monoball is 76mm in diameter and slot in the thrust arm is 70mm if that helps. It really does change the driving dynamics - the more I drive it, the more I like them!

Where did you source the wheels from?

I bought mine off of EBay. They are reps from China, but they are very nice quality.

Thanks. I've done searches and I'm having a hard time locating them.

I searched under the username I bought them off of, and I don't see that they have any current sets for sale. I bought them from EBay user dfo170.

Sorry I haven’t updated this in so long. Since last update I have powdercoat Ed the wheels bugloss black, painted the OEM LCI body kit, replaced the grills with OEM a black mesh grills, painted the front and rear reflectors body color, and upgraded every bulb on the car to LED. I unfortunately sold my E70 35d to my brother-in-law, and I have replaced it with a F15 35d Msport.
