First questions for anyone following...
1) do you know the coding procedure to activate this? 2) do I just need the video module, antennas and wiring if I already have the CIC computer, the Top HiFi system with amp (that I am retrofitting)? Here's the wiring diagram that I'm working from ... https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...ision/B3EjNiBw |

Looks like my above assumption is the case.
Two antennas needed in the bumper on the X6. Slightly different layout to the X5 that has one in the rear quarter window. The antenna are a nightmare to track down though so looking to see if I can use TV antenna from another model like an E46 soft top that would also have had them in the bumper. |

@radial I need your help, as I am also trying to upgrade my dead analogue TV.
I have a X6 E71 2008 CCC with TV and RSE (TV also plays in the rear monitor). I want to upgrade to a digital TV module that works in Cyprus (afaik mpeg4 DVB-T2). Some guy on youtube said he used a module from F15 (waiting for him to get the part number but he may never get round to it). From my estimation, I think the numbers should be: 65509366610, 65509347965, 65509321038, 65509300247, 65509286024? What was your experience? What module did you use? Did you have to do some coding also? Please enlighten me... all help greatly appreciated! |

I think this is the right guide with the correct module numbers?
01-29-2-357-862-conversion-of-the-tv-module-to-the-digital-tv-module-pdf Retrofit kit number 65 50 9 319 559 TV module Information:TV-MODUL2 65 50 9 319 560 TV module Information:DRIVE 65 50 9 347 964 TV module Information: N/A 65 50 9 347 965 TV module Information:RSE But I do not know which module is the right one for my car. The first 2 seem to apply to E71/E70. The last 2 seem to apply to F15/F16. Anyone know if TV-MODUL2 is equivalent to DVB-T2??? What about DRIVE? How do I choose? If I choose either 65 50 9 319 559 or 65 50 9 319 560 (on bimmercat.com) and then click Application/Fitment and then scroll to E71 and click 'Conversion to TV module digital' and filter as my car's options below, I get all options filtered out! Am I doing something wrong? No L802A National version Korea No L807A National version Japan No L8AAA National version China Yes S601A TV function No S602A On-board monitor withTV Yes S6FFA DVD-system in rear compartment No S6FSA TV function analogue No S8LHA Country control Hong Kong 04142 No S8S7A Vehicle without TV function Yes S609A Navigation system Professional If anyone has done this before help out please. I'm afraid I am going to be of no use here conandrum . I never went ahead with the retrofit as I could not source reasonable parts and then BMW forced one of the sites I used to get parts and diagram information (because they think they can play god even after they sell the car to you).
I'll keep watching though to see how you get on. |

Thanks radial,
I opened a new thread here: https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/t...-2008.1457421/ Yesterday I dug out my tuner and now I have something to start with. I also sent the details of the tuner to the local dealership and will wait to see what they say. Anyone that can help please do so. |
