USB in center console.
I want to add the USB to my 2009 BMW X5. I only have the aux input. What do I need and where can I find it?

Bump thread plus I just purchased same year X5 with same situation. Any advice or ideas? Is a different head unit needed for USB compatibility? Was thinking there was a jack on head unit, just not connected to an available plug in dash or console.

Even then the USB technology is old and really only works with an old ipod. You can buy an ipod emulator such as a tune2air which will add bluetooth. 2010 and up E70 use the newer idrive 2 (CIC) which supports the combox which is a more modern USB/Bluetooth connectivity device. Search CIC or Combox retrofit for more info. |
