New (to me) X6

Well after going from a 2007 335i to a 2008 Z06, I have come back to BMW.

Sorry, we are no longer in Texas. We just moved a couple weeks ago up to Little Rock.

I'm in the process of blacking out the front to complete the look. I might get rid of the aluminum running boards and go with the stock black ones, but I'm not sure yet how that will look.

I know how you feel, I chose to do the same to mine.

I was hoping you would attach a bigger picture of the one in your previous post. That looks really good. Are those just the basic black plastic running boards? Also, how easy was it to take off the fog lamp trim and get that painted?

The grills around the fog lamps and the thin one below the kidney grills just snap in and out. So they're easy to remove and paint yourself. The one below the license plate you'll have to mask the edges (blue tape) and use something to stick behind the grill so you don't get any spray on the radiator. Unless you're really really careful

Stock running boards.

Thank you

I think it helps the overall appearance, just like the OP has also thought of as well.

Well I got the front blacked out and absolutely love it. Thanks to Tischer and JleviSW for the parts. I had the fog light trim painted the same as the body color at a local shop.

I've had 3 strangers in the past 24 hours tell me that the car is badass or give me a thumbs up.

Now to take care of the aluminum side boards. I'm really leaning towards painting them flat black like someone else had done in another thread. I like the idea of still have the step there and it being functional.

Ah wow they look fantastic! Those Alloys really lend themselves to being a different colour other than silver.

Yeah having the stock wheels painted/powder coated really brings out the wheels. I can't tell you how often I get compliments on the wheels and how they look with the person shocked to find out it's the stock wheel.
